Anyone a fan.
I've only just listened to some songs on youtube, not bad, very heavy.
Seeing I am a big NIN fan, I thought I'd dig around for more industrial music and read about this band being a big influence on NIN.
What albums are good to start with?
Best songs?

the Psalm 69 is probably their most popular. I also liked In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up (Live), The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, and The Land of Rape and Honey. Also check out their cover of Lay Lady Lay off of Filth Pig. I haven't heard much of their newer stuff.1996: Toronto

I do love Psalm 69, it was my first taste of them and it always stuck with me.Charlotte 00 | Charlotte 03 | Asheville 04 | Atlanta 12 | Greenville 16 | Columbia 16 |Seattle 18 | Nashville 22 | Ohana Festival 24 x2 | Atlanta 25 x20 -
Psalm 69 is definitely their best. I might be in the minority, but I really liked Houses of the Mole. And I can still rock Revenge from With Sympathy even though Al would like to forget that period in the band's history.0

Psalm69 is amazing....easily their best0

That's a band I haven't listened to in years. Psalm 69 is a great album. I might have to go dig it out and listen to it now.* Cincinnati, OH 8.20.2000 *

I'm a fan. Just One Fix was the song that got me into them. Saw the video on 120 Minutes and I was hooked. Psalm 69 and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste are my fav albums. Houses of The Mole, Land Of Rape & Honey, and Filth Pig were also good. I have The Last Sucker, but it wasn't that great. Never got Rio Grande Blood, but they have a song on there that I like as well, LiesLiesLies. Seen them a few times. missed their farewell tour though a few years ago. :(

I got into them after seeing their version of Lay Lady Lay on this video my bro had taped. I really like Jesus Built my Hotrod too!“ "Thank you Palestrina. It’s a wonderful evening, it’s great to be here and I wanna dedicate you a super sexy song." " (last words of Mark Sandman of Morphine)

Great band....hard to believe their commercial success peaked in 1992....so long ago!
They more or less invented "Industrial Rock" and brought it to a wider audience.
Psalm 69 is a great album...."Just One Fix" is a great song. I always loved seeing them live...not as good as NIN, but very close!
They were on Lollapalooza 1992 with PJ!0 -
Filthpig is their best. Great, great album.0

Their back!
I thought Al Jourgensen ended the band a few years ago, but apparently decided to bring them back and are touring (few dates out in the midwest and one in la and nyc) and recording a new album called "Relapse". Hope they come out to philly so i can see them again.

In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up is one of my fave live albums. Can't really go wrong with Ministry. I guess you should go for Greatest Fits for a retrospective of their best bits and then get Psalm69, Land of Rape and Honey and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste.
I really liked Filth Pig and Dark Side of the Spoon too, but I might be on my own with the latter!Manchester 04.06.00, Leeds 25.08.06, Wembley 18.06.07, Dusseldorf 21.06.07, Shepherds Bush 11.08.09, Manchester 17.08.09, Adelaide 17.11.09, Melbourne 20.11.09, Sydney 22.11.09, Brisbane 25.11.09, MSG1 20.05.10, MSG2 21.05.10, Dublin 22.06.10, Belfast 23.06.10, London 25.06.10, Long Beach 06.07.11 (EV), Los Angeles 08.07.11 (EV), Toronto 11.09.11, Toronto 12.09.11, Ottawa 14.09.11, Hamilton 14.09.11, Manchester 20.06.12, Manchester 21.06.12, Amsterdam 26.06.2012, Amsterdam 27.06.2012, Berlin 04.07.12, Berlin 05.07.12, Stockholm 07.07.12, Oslo 09.07.12, Copenhagen 10.07.12, Manchester 28.07.12 (EV), Brooklyn 18.10.13, Brooklyn 19.10.13, Philly 21.10.13, Philly 22.10.13, San Diego 21.11.13, LA 23.11.13, LA 24.11.13, Oakland 26.11.13, Portland 29.11.13, Spokane 30.11.13, Calgary 02.12.13, Vancouver 04.12.13, Seattle 06.12.13, Trieste 22.06.14, Vienna 25.06.14, Berlin 26.06.14, Stockholm 28.06.14, Leeds 08.07.14, Philly 28.04.16, Philly 28.04.16, MSG1 01.05.16, MSG2 02.05.160 -

They were great, but Al is a hack now. He released "Greatest Tricks" last year, which was one of those "re-recorded" greatest hits albums and it was an inexcusable mess.
And he also quoted Loose Change in one of his records, I don't need half-ass conspiracy theories in my half-ass industrial music.0 -
