That is my hope as well. We haven't heard directly from the band yet about any of this. That said, it seems like they have a tendency to disappoint and not necessarily include what the masses want. ie...Drop in the Park and MTV Unplugged being incomplete. I will say that if it is coming out shortly and it's on Amazon, the band is probably 100% sure what is going on the discs so why won't they just tell us.0 -

this here is the perfect reason why no one should ever get their hopes up.... we all have these expectations about what the band could do....and what they will do... and then everyone is going to complain anyway... it's always a never ending cycle.... the next thing will be that the festival thing might not live up to expectations....dont people get tired of complaining?0 -

When it's officially announce on this website is when I believe what the actual track list is.Member 164xxx

Well if what has been reported is true and the Boston Orpheum show in 1994 is included in the set, Hard to Imagine is in the first set of that show. As for the studio version, Lost Dogs and Chicago Cab have that covered like most of you said.He who forgets will be destined to remember.

regarding mystery....it is not Pearl jam, see below
http://www.theporch.org/misc/faq.html#5.2
5.2 On the Mookie Blaylock bootleg, there are 2 songs (Mystery and Hold your Head Up) that doesn't sound like Pearl Jam. What gives?
Well, it's because the lead vocals are by other people. Hold your Head up is a Mother Love Bone cover. Mystery is by Blind Horse (according to the Release 'zine). Some people have also maintained that the lead vocals on Mystery is Shawn Smith, who is in Stone Gossard's other side band, Brad and also in the band Satchel.0 -

Hold On is also on Lost Dogs, but is listed on the tracklisting, so thats not a valid reason for the exclusion of another song"If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." KV Jr.0 -

^The Chicago Cab version of HTI is soooo much better than the one they put on Lost Dogs. It sounds like most people here already have these tunes, so why does it matter if they make it onto the re-release or not? I have no interest in buying re-releases. I've already made my own mix CDs from the albums and assorted outtakes that have trickled out over the years. My Vs. Includes the album plus:
Hard To Imagine, Alone (b-side), Whipping ("demo"), Sonic Reducer, Elderly Woman acoustic, Hold On, Crazy Mary, Angel, and I am a Patriot (BSB '92).
RE: Hold On. The Lost Dogs liner note state it was from the Vs. sessions, yet it was produced by Rick Parashar. He produced Ten. Brendan O' Brien produced Vs. Doesn't that make Hold On a Ten outtake?0 -
Does anyone know if a Vs. Demo for Betterman exists? I know that in the earlier versions of Betterman, it had a different arrangement with the drums in the first chorus and what not. I'd like to hear what a studio version of it would sound like.Member Number: 437xxx

There are supposed to be three or four different demos of Betterman from 1993 during the Vs. sessions. This site can answer most people's questions on when things were recorded.

To be perfectly honest, we haven't received any official word on what is actually on the re-issues. This is basically all speculation. However I don't think there were many other songs recorded during this time anyway so I'm pretty sure it's probably right.
The newer albums are where there are a ton of tracks left off the albums.Post edited by RedMosquito22 onMember 164xxx

Thanks man. I hope they do include an earlier version of the song from the Vs sessions, despite the rumors hinting otherwise.Member Number: 437xxx
