Project #6 - Light Becomes Stars: Binaural Live

Due to the overwhelming positive feedback that Tremors, Myra, and I have received for our last five projects, we have decided to get started on our next one and our first for 2011. I hope that everybody had a nice Christmas and a wonderful New Year's and are ready to start piecing together the newest project. For project #6 we have decided to go back to the full album format that we did with are first few projects. We decided that Binaural was up for the "Live" treatment.

Our reasoning for doing a live version of Binaural is quite simple. We would like to do it in honor of our nine family members who lost their lives at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark on June 30th 2000. We would like to pay tribute to not only them, but the others that were hurt or injured. With that being said, we will have some special parameters for this project.

Here are those parameters that we would like to go by for this project:

-All songs must be (with the exception of "Parting Ways" which will come from the last show of the 2000 Tour) from the 2000 European Tour.

-We will add 2-3 bonus songs at the end, which will be covers/B-sides from the 2000 European Tour.

-dimitrispearljam will pick which version of "Nothing As it Seems" we use for this Project. :twisted:

Please feel free to use this thread to make suggestions and give us feedback as to what would be good to include on this new compilation (and what wouldn't be good). I will be updating the working track list for this project on the front page of this thread (right here). Our plan is to slowly start putting this together on Monday (January 10th) and have it completed and ready for download by or before next Saturday (January 15th).

LOVE the idea. Katowice on 6/16/00 features some great versions of Binaural songs. I can't recommend just one, because it it one of my favorite boots from the Euro tour in 2000. IMO all of the songs (I believe they hit 8 tracks off the album) should make the cut

If I had to pick the top 3 from this night, I'd say the ones below...just throwing them out there....

God's dice from Salzburg, Austria 2000/06/18. I find it quite 'balanced'. I would have gone for the Nurnberg version initially, but we don't want to pick most songs from only a couple of shows I guess and I reckon the differences between those two versions are slight anyway.

What is the general concensus about what is the best Binaural track from those shows?

Light Years from Pinkpop is very beautiful and moving (with "goodbye, I loved you, goodbye" in the end).
From Katowice 2 I would choose Sleight of Hand (or Thin Air

).
