Is there any hit that you hate?

  • Wishlist has always been my least favorite song of their catalog...I really can't stand it, and it takes absolutely all of the energy away from the crowd when they play it live. Concert suicide.

It's not a hit, but Help Help boggles my mind as to how it made the cut for Riot Act and a great song like Down did not.

I thought You Are was a crappy version of Linkin Park's "One Step Closer" the first time I heard it.
  • Elderly Woman...: I've never quite understood the love for this song, I guess its a nice little folky thing, its played almost as much as Even Flow.

Life Wasted : Horrible, forced, worst chorus ever more.

Come Back : Cheese, absolute cheese, and McCready's Bon Jovi power solo is just wrong.

Spin The Black Circle : Possibly their worst punk song. Retire it totally please.

Love Boat Captain : errgghhh. I hate this song.

This is the truest statement on this thread.

  • I can't believe Betterman is on alot of lists - Ok yes it may be overplayed by the band & the radio, and ofcourse most non PJ fans probably like the track. However its a brilliant song, a perfect pop song.

Don't care for Daughter or Betterman either, I think because they are so overplayed, but I still find myself singing along!

  • I honestly, 100%, don't hate any PJ song. There are however, some that I skip occasionally.

Comatose, Rats..... And they aren't even 'hits'

    Ah well.

There must be some song loved by most of the fans that you hate, some peaople here say Daughter is horrible, NAIT, Gone.
i personally don't really like Tremor Christ

I appreciate what you say - respectfully so. However - There are certain Pearl Jam songs that I LOVE - which include "Release" and "Tremor Cnrist." It's a matter of opinion. To each his own, respectfully. However, I want to say that Eddie Vedder and my Pearl Jam has "marked" MY life (NOT my parent's life). Divorce..... Alanis Morisette/Early Pearl Jam - of which me and my new husband met.....and then he- my husband went to Iraq 4 weeks ago. However - Pearl Jam Music remains relevent - to me ...and my husband....and he had to cut his beautiful hair! Okay - whatever - Pearl Jam music marks pretty much each time I take a worthy step in my life. I know that there are younger people on this websight....and I also realize that they keep Pearl Jam relevent. I just want to say that ALL of their music remains relevent to me. I adore them. My husband took their music with him on his IPOD. Their music "links" us together. Weird.
And by the way - my brother - stationed in California - "Daughter" is one of his most favorite songs. different strokes for everyone. For me however - there is no such thing as a bad Pearl Jam song. I'm glad they came to Tampa. They do STILL have fans here as well! :)

I agree with You. But only one of these song which I don't like much is Jeremy. Because it was so often on mtv. More often even than Alive. Alive was the first song of PJ I heard, so I have a sentiment for it:)
Stupid mop ... this song is a shit for me.
Elderly woman - definitely not my favourite. And maybe Hail, hail.

But Jeremy is the one I really don't like to listen

WTF?! Who are you to say that another person's love for a song makes them an 'imitation' fan?!

    Childish.

I've never been a fan of STBC. Don't know why, just doesn't do anything for me :o
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
