I HATE Jeremy, Alive, and Betterman. I refuse to sing along and I also refuse to applaud after they play any of those songs. They are strictly for "imitation" pearl jam fans.
Alive is epic and is easily one of their best songs. That solo is insane and the song played live always has so much energy. I agree with you on Jeremy though. Betterman is decent.
HELL YEAH!
My all-time favorite boot is the Self-Pollution broadcast. The Vitalogy songs had so much energy. Mike's solo on Immortality on that version is one of his best solos ever - PERIOD.

When I first heard Wishlist I never really liked it. My brother and I are big PJ fans and we have friends who also love PJ, but they also have never liked the song.
So when I first started reading the threads on this forum I was a bit surprised that a ton of people really love this song. I've tried giving it more chances, but I still can't get into it.
I fucking HATE last Kiss, parachutes and the whole "man trilogy"!!
to clear the misconception some of you seem to have about the term "b side"..it comes from the vinyl era, when a group released an album they would put what was considered the strongest/best songs on the "A side" of the album and the weaker ones on the "B side" of the album.
I don't give a fig how accurate your information is, I'm not listening to one damn thing said by any person who hates Nothingman!
Good evening San Diego, I'm Ron Burgundy
And I'm Veronica Corningstone, Tits McGee is off tonight...
Not a fan of Last Kiss. Just can't stand it at all, and I'm all for covers, I love hearing what people's interpretations are of other artists, but not Last Kiss.

But there are some songs that I do get tired of... Alive, Jeremy, Black, Betterman, Last Kiss, Gone... however all of these songs can still move me from time to time.
I can never get tired of Even Flow, or hear enough versions of it.
Wait, what??? How many other songs does Jeff get to start out all by himself?? And on a 12 string bass no less!!
Anyway, to answer the question of the thread. Last Kiss, it was sorta ok at first, but I liked the original more. And I make it a point to never listen to Betterman. Its a personal thing, but I still enjoy it at shows, because its one of their only songs that can get the WHOLE crowd singing along, which is cool.
Oh, and seriously, whats with all the hate on Nothing As It Seems??
There must be some song loved by most of the fans that you hate, some peaople here say Daughter is horrible, NAIT, Gone.
i personally don't really like Tremor Christ
you're insane... that's one of their best songs!
the only hit they have that i cannot stand is 'last kiss.' if that even counts. but ive listened to their greatest hits album hundreds of times and there's not a dud on there (other than last kiss).
ok, i am mine is pretty mediocre, but then, so it pretty much all of riot act.
Wishlist has always been my least favorite song of their catalog...I really can't stand it, and it takes absolutely all of the energy away from the crowd when they play it live. Concert suicide.
It's not a hit, but Help Help boggles my mind as to how it made the cut for Riot Act and a great song like Down did not.
I thought You Are was a crappy version of Linkin Park's "One Step Closer" the first time I heard it.
I can't stand Nothing as it seems. I start cussing everytime I hear the first note.

I can't believe Betterman is on alot of lists - Ok yes it may be overplayed by the band & the radio, and ofcourse most non PJ fans probably like the track. However its a brilliant song, a perfect pop song.
Green disease just doesn't do anything for me...
Don't care for Daughter or Betterman either, I think because they are so overplayed, but I still find myself singing along!
"I knew all the rules, but the rules did not know me. Guaranteed."
It's so boring and doesn't sound good. Sounds like a whiny brat.

Tremor Christ charted on the American rock charts, which isn't bad for a song that was never released as its own single.
If you hate something, don't you do it too
I was wondering the same thing.

Kick as guitar in Nothing as it Seems. Try turning it up super loud, turn out the lights, and just listen. It's fucking amazing.
And I'm Veronica Corningstone, Tits McGee is off tonight...
My least favourite of their hits, though they didn't really write it.
this is a brilliant song, problem is it's overplayed and I can't blame people for getting sick of it.

Life Wasted : Horrible, forced, worst chorus ever more.
Come Back : Cheese, absolute cheese, and McCready's Bon Jovi power solo is just wrong.
Spin The Black Circle : Possibly their worst punk song. Retire it totally please.
Love Boat Captain : errgghhh. I hate this song.
This is the truest statement on this thread.
betterman
last kiss
are the biggies i can't stand.
