    i have 1 of these promo apple's that i bought for about $100 6-7 years ago,the person i bought it off said only 12 apple's were made and how much its worth i dont know.one thing for sure i know its very very rare!

    Too f*ckin' sweet! Would love to have one but NOT at that price. It's not like it was signed by Andy. He died before the Apple album came out. I remember hearing about the promo apple but this is the first time I've seen one. Didn't know it came in a cool box. Thanx for the link.

    yes it is signed by andy.promo items are for promoting the album or single due to come out.these ware made for the album cover with him holding the apple!so i think he WAS alive!

    I saw the pics of the promo Apple and saw no autograph unless you are speaking of the photocopied lyric sheet to Chloe Dancer with his signature. I have the same lyric sheet & autograph in a MLB PROMO Press Kit and it's also in his funeral memorial booklet. The song Chloe Dancer was written & recorded previously on the Shine EP (1989) and later rerecorded as Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns for Apple . Andy was pulled from life support on March 19,1990 and Apple wasn't released until July of that year. The pic of him holding an apple is the Shine EP cover with his hand out and an apple superimposed on it. Thanx for trying to school me. Atleast you got the apple.
