    You're right, and that's why I've been checking email before even opening the web browser. But Kat could just say that nothing is coming...

    People have concluded that there's an impending Australian tour announcement from previous tweets, tours and timings? That doesn't make much sense...PJ just played Aussie shows in 2009 and the 10c posts a message to presumably ALL 10c members (of which, Aussies likely compose but a fraction of) about having their memberships/addresses current...why would someone conclude that an impending announcement (of which all 10c members are now awaiting) is an Australian tour (of which just a fraction will be able to attend)?

    Given all that, IF there's an impending announcement, it's safe to assume that the announcement will impact all 10c members, not just Aussie ones (or US/Euro ones for that matter).

    per the tweet, the thought is that it would be an Ed Solo tour, not Pearl Jam.
    It is assumed that it would be in AUS due to the info we are working on.
    The hope of the rabid US folks is that there would be a few US dates as well or that we are reading into it wrong and it is in fact US dates (not likely at this point)

    also, in regards to your first question, they always precurse tour date announcements with the heads up tweet. Generally nothing else. At least since i started coming here many years ago.

    I'm just thinking that a little common courtesy on their part would be nice. If there's details they're waiting on, it's all understandable. But I have a feeling they enjoy everyone here chasing their own tails out of frustration, for the entertainment factor. :)

    Back from work and had to spend a long time catching up on all the posts....I think we could turn this thread into a great book on the study of human behavior....very entertaining...far from informative (no announcement) but a brilliant read non the less :D

    Theories and speculation abound...I'm having fun seeing the rotation of 'regulars' as the world turns, night falls, people sleep, and others wake up for their new morning...joined by one common denominator...no bloody clue!!!!! How fun!

    This will be the first stage announcement of a bigger thing I believe. And stage 1 will be for Oz, stage 2 for somewhere else, stage 3.....?

    The ticket sales will follow this sequence, and I believe the first announcement, first tickets and first people needing their addresses up to date etc (whatever, cutoffs, credit cards ready.... it's late here man) will be the Aussies, with the rest of us to follow (hopefully)

    I am basing this on what has happened in the past. I am basing the Oz thing on the Wizard of Oz thing

    All they have to say is sorry, no news today. That's it. When they post a Tweet on Friday to say be up to date at the end of the weekend, and historically they release news immediately after that then yeah, people have a right to feel entitled to at least an update as to when we will hear something. Not entitled to news but entitled to at least an update when they know people are begging for information and refreshing for hours. Of course no one is pointing a gun at people's heads and forcing them to do that but I completely understand that the band means a ton to some of you and you don't want to risk missing tickets going on sale immediately or something. The 10C/Management have that little amount of respect for the fans that they cause people to do that?

    It's an endless cycle around here. The same thing happens all of the time. They either tease us with something or newsbreaks elsewhere....then people ask questions/complain.....then people are yelled at for bitching and feeling entitled....then arguments ensue and people are unhappy....i chime in and complain :D ....then they finally release the news or just ignore it completely and never say a word about it. Remember just a few short weeks ago when people shelled out money for the LOTL box set as a pre-order and the 10 Club wouldn't so much as say it's real or we are working on it? This has been going on for so long and part of me feels as though they love doing this to the members. I have fiercely defended the 10 Club and the mods the past year regarding them not being allowed to release news and I stand by that. But there is zero reason they can't chime in at some point and give some sort of update but they can lock a thread because it's "rude" to discuss that not everyone appreciates the music of Brad. Doing this to your fans/customers isn't rude?

    And to those who get mad that people complain and feel entitled, I understand you feel that way and your mind won't be changed. You don't have to respond to this. I'm not looking to start an argument with you and I respect your opinion on the matter. Please respect the opinion of those who feel differently. Can't we all just get along? :thumbup:
