Why should it matter? Once it's locked, it should be locked for good....like all the other threads are. I think the difference here was that the person who started posting inappropriate things stated in their post that they were doing so deliberately to get the thread locked. It was so weak. I'm pretty sure that is why an exception was made -- locking the thread would have been rewarding the instigator.
