what ten club number are we up to now?

When your membership expires and you renew after the expiration date you get a new number, so what happens to the old number??? When it comes time for the Tenclub distribute the tickets, do they just jump to the next available number and the old number does not exist anymore???
I'm confused!!!"makes much more sense, to live in the present tense"0 -

Yeah, I think that's how it works.
although I swear to god I have renewed after the expiration and kept my old number in the past.0 -

I think that happened to me once too, the first time I had to renew, I don't remember anymore."makes much more sense, to live in the present tense"0 -
maybe they've tightened up the system in recent years (especially if they're up to the 400's) to make sure there's less a chance to renew after expiration.0

yeah the number is just gone.....if theres 200k active members and your 400xxx your probably in reality somewhere in the 200 range. the good thing is that probably the most active members are in the 300-400xxx range because they have joined most recently4/28/03, 7/5/03, 7/8/03, 7/14/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 10/1/04, 9/15/05, 9/16/05, 9/30/05, 10/1/05, 10/3/05, 5/4/06, 5/12/06, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 5/30/06, 6/3/06, 6/23/06, 6/19/08, 6/20/08, 6/24/08, 6/25/08, 6/30/08, 10/27/09, 10/28/09, 10/30/09, 10/31/09, 5/18/100 -

I think they may have. I'm so bummed! I didn't even think of it until now.0 -

What does affect it more is vacant numbers since they do not reissue the number once it's lost by someone.
I'd bet that the number of numbers created through purchase of goods rather than membership is on the 1-10 ratio if not way more!
but only 10c knows for sure.0 -
as far as i see it my low # didn't get me tickets to the msg shows ,so it really doesn't mean too much to have such a low # but more luck to get tickets ...jesus greets me looks just like me ....0

Exactly.......a low number will get you good seats, but, you have to actually get the seats first.
They'll usually give you a month or so before they recycle your number, and if you happen to have it lapse longer then that, you might be screwed. If you're not a repeat offender, sometimes they'll give you your old number back.0 -

damn I think it was quite a few months. it just didn't even cross my mind. I hate when I screw up like this.
DAMMITTT!!!! I just went through my order history it was like 7 months! ugh! I must have thought I renewed it and didn't. How could I possibly be this stupid??? And when I renew it in November, it didn't even cross my mind that I'd lose my number.0 -
Ahhh...I just found the policy. Apparently you have a 90 day grade period after the expiration date within which you can keep your number. If you're past that, you need to present "valid reasoning." I just hope my reasoning is valid.0

There has not been a new album anounced since then and this tour caught most people off guard. Once word hits the streets that a new album and tour is in the works i bet it takes another 50K jump. just my thoughts.0 -

I was in hospital, working as a missionary in Africa, lost my job and leaving of welfare stamps to feed my kids ...those are valid reasons.0 -

you don't know what the ten club considers valid. and I didn't just "forget" I didn't *know* that I forgot. Hell I was finishing grad school and looking for jobs and moving at the time, no wonder I got confused.0 -
I think forgetting is a valid reason. Without reminders, it gets difficult. Now, if you forget for more than a year then the validity goes down the drain.0

I agree. I didn't think about my membership until I didn't get Deep or the xmas single (i forget which) and even then I thought it was because my address was wrong after moving-I had no idea I hadn't renewed it. it wasn't until I went in to change my address that I saw what was up.0 -

You do get a reminder from 10c (via e-mail) about 1 month before your current membership runs out. From what I've heard they're enforcing the policy a lot stricter now and if you run past the grace period, then that's it.
Seems a lot of people are forgetting to renew these dayshttp://www.wishlistfoundation.org

um, I've never gotten a reminder. Infact, I just checked my email from the whole month before my membership expired and the only thing from the 10c was about traveling to europe. It's not a email security issue- I get everything else from them (it's in my contacts and whatnot).0 -
