So Who Has The Solution.

I would be fine with them going back to a write in method. Plus I think if you try to get more than one show, you get the show that is closest to you first. Then if there are left overs from the other shows you can get fan club tickets to that show too. And another thing. The shows that are furthest from your home, you don't gey seniority. I know, but just cause you joined the ten club in 92 doesn't entitle you to the best seats at every show. There are some that weren't able to join then.
It would never happen. And I know that it would be expencieve and time consuming to manage, but it is an idea.My whole life looked like a picture of a sunny day.

Completely agree! As long as these shows and products continue to sell out the people that run ten club do no care how flawed the system is. If they did care things would be different.
Completely disagree. The Ten Club obviously cares, as they could have just put all these tickets into the Ticketmaster hate machine. However, I suspect that either a) they like the sales going down this way or b) they simply do not know how to fix these problems.0 -

Which means they don't care or don't care to learn how to fix them... bottom line they don't care...
And they sure as hell are not going to outsource ticketing to ticket master... that would cut into the profits!10.31.93 / 10.1.94 / 6.24.95 / 11.4.95 / 10.19-20.96 / 7.16.98 / 7.21.98 / 10.31.00 /8.4.01 Nader Rally/ 10.21.01 / 12.8-9.02 / 6.01.03 / 9.1.05 / 7.15-16,18.06 / 7.20.06 / 7.22-23.06 / Lolla 070 -

Here is my solution...
You get to buy as many shows as you wish. However, you must specify ONE show as your 'Top Draft'. All of the people who choose their 'Top Draft' as Los Angeles, for example, get senirority seating. The rest of the Club members who purchased tickets for Los Angeles, but not listed it as their 'Top Draft' get seated after that... by seniority.
This way, the kid in Phoenix with the 350,000 number gets to sit in front of the people coming from Los Angeles with the 139,000 numbers at the Phoenix show. There is no reason why someone from Los Angeles should sit closer than the kid who lives in Phoenix, right? Everyone gets a shot at up close seating... and the lower numbers will still get GREAT seats, relative to the TicketMaster masses.
This would be fair for the people who live in Kansas City (where Pearl Jam dosen't play) to pick a venue outside their locale and get a a chance at a great seat.
Besides, those with lower numbers have already had the entire 2003 and 2006 shows under their belts... I think it's time to share the wealth with the rest of the club members.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

If everybody gets them, then what are they going to do if 10,000 people got tickets for XYZ venue but the venue is only 8,000 people capacity?? This way, whoever is able to get through the crappy server gets the tickets. It is a filtering solution really :-)
OMG do you know how ridiculous this post sounds???
Why the hell would they sell 10,000 tickets to an 8000 seat venue??? That would never be an issue because they only sell as many seats as they have available to sell. They program that number into their servers so even if they worked out their bugs to handle the onslaught it would be impossible to sell more tix then they have in stock.
They know they need better servers. I dunno why they don't have them...don't want to speculate...but I can assure you it has nothing to do with filtering."Rock and roll is something that can't be quantified, sometimes it's not even something you hear, but FEEL!" - Bob Lefsetz0 -

If you want TWO great seats per tour... you buddy up. For example, You pick San Diego as your 'Top Draft' and I pick Los Angeles. We make a pact to swap our extra tickets where I go as your guest to San Diego and you go to Los Angeles as mine.
I don't think there is any reason why this would not work. The majority of complaints would come from long time members who have become accoustomed to sitting close... including the front row, for EVERY show. Well, my response would be, "You had 2 major tours already... and we're all about sharing, right? Give the kids in the back a memory they will relish... just as the many you already have".
...
Finally... if your local show is going to be a General Admission free for all... DON'T Pick that show unless you are willing to sleep on the sidewalk all night long. Pick a seated show and the General Admission and put in the time if you want the railing.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I absolutely agree with you. I think that would be the fairest way to ensure better chances of ticket acquisition for everyone.

Like I said... they already know what it's like up front. They will STILL get great seats... I was in the 14th row and still had a great time. They would probably land somewhere around Row 5 or 6... and they will still get one more show in the front row... two if they buddy up.
It think it's time the kids with the 200,000 and beyond to get a chance to see Mike rip through his 'Evenflow' solo (they probably won't consider it a beer run song anymore). And to have Mike point at them and say, "Hey Dude (Dudette)" to them. Give them the thought of catching a tamborine, a guitar pick or a setlist. Give them the same thrill sitting in the first 4 or 5 rows.
I think it'll bring some excitement to the shows because those people will show their enthusiasm. After that, they go back to their regular seats towards the back of the floor for their other shows... but that ONE night... would be one of the greatest nights of their concert going lives.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Give tickets to everyone that fucking got charged for tickets. Find a way to make it happen. Anything is possible. That's the ONLY fair way to handle this. If you got charged for six pairs because Ten Club TOLD YOU TO "KEEP TRYING" then fucking get six pairs of tickets and re-sale them to folks on the board. Or fuck it, sell them on eBay. Whatever....but this bullshit of them tying up my fucking money for 3-5 days is 100% complete fucking bullshit.0

Think about it. They would still consistantly sit within the first 10 rows. I know people who would do almost anything for that. And think about the person who would complain... complain that they are in the 6th row instead of the 2nd.
I remember what it was like being in San Francisco... on the railing. and looking down the rail at the faces of my friends and strangers with numbers in the 400,000 range. The excitement of those shows... for me and my friends and those wonderful people whom I didn't know who have never experienced this before... had felt. Those are some of my favorite memories.
Now... imagine that.. except, there are no loser kooks trying to wedge their shoulders in front of you or having to push back people from crushing your tiny gal friends. Being able to run out to take a leak (only if you absolutely have to) and return to your same spot without a hassle.
I think it's time... let's give it a shot and see what happens, right?Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!
