Alrighty! So here's the deal... the Summer edition of the PJ Poster Framing Special was extremely successful. So successful with 75 pieces that I'm still swamped framing (and thank you for your patience to those still waiting for their Summer order to be shipped - they're coming! :) ). I've actually been turning away a number of walk-in customers to keep myself on schedule with getting the Summer posters out as quickly as possible.

Being that September thru December are my busiest months in my shop with walk-in traffic for art and framing, and that the PJ Poster Framing Special completely takes-over my shop and overwhelms the gallery space for two months or longer... this is how the Fall/Winter poster framing special will be done:

Two different types of framing will be offered:

FULL SERVICE
Where you send in your poster, and I take care of everything.

SELF FITTING
Where I ship you the frames, matting, conservation glass, etc, and it's all installed, and you take the museum-foamboard out and install the poster yourself with photo-corners which will be provided for you.

FULL SERVICE
-Frames will be shipped around end of January (since that will be after the craziness of Sept-Dec)
-Framing offered on 100% of PJ posters

SELF FITTING
-Frames will arrive sometime before Christmas (since I can get those out the door easier than full service).
-Poster framing limited to posters I've framed before, since I have the sizing, specific mat colors, and other notes that I can work with. Matting colors limited to the mats I've used on that poster before. Frame color stripe is your choice. (When I'm done framing the Summer batch I'll be putting up lots of photos, so you'll see what those look like)
-IF you choose Self Fitting, and IF you can wait until around end of January for yours to ship, then take 10% off of your Self Fitting frames.

List of posters eligible for SELF FITTING option:

-MSG 1 2010 - SOTO
-MSG 2 2010 - Donkey Kong

Not at the moment. I do have the photos in the camera of the MSG Kong but have not yet formatted it for the forum yet. Uniondale I'm working on this week. Photos will be coming asap. I just want to keep my focus on getting these posters finished and out the door for those who have been patiently waiting. :)

Howdy. :D The self install frame is the same price if we push it ahead and have it in your hands before Christmas, but is 10% less than the final bracket price if you're willing to wait for the end-of-January run.

Hey Hoff, put me down as tentative for 2 for right now. Just need to sort some things out on my end.

Edit: I would be interested in the full service framing option. I know I would fuck it up if I were to self-fit it myself.

Does anyone want to split the cost of shipping to Chicago or the north suburbs?

We could each get 1 print framed and save the shipping and packing costs.

PM me if you are interested.

Put me down for 3 right now. Depending on how many are in the order, I may bump that up to 5. I somehow missed the latest special you had and was kicking myself. Was glad to see this come around so quickly.

  • I'm just gonna go ahead and say that the two Hoff did for me were worth every penny. I will try and get off my lazy ass to send pics. In the meantime, take my word for it and get those damn posters out of your portfolios, tubes, or wherever you are storing them and get in on this if you have the cash to do so.

Hoff, as a business decision, this is genius. I know my framer in town is hurting; always sitting on his ass reading a book when I walk in.

The picture of that Virginia Beach is making me want to add that in my order, but alas, I am a broke-ass college grad. Put me TENTATIVE for one. When I get my SLC 09 from BK I'd like to have that done.

Anyone in the SOUTH JERSEY area looking to combine orders for free shipping? I am in the Atlantic City area

Post your pictures of completed work people! :)

And I assume really with SLC 09 that the only real options for matting is red/white, since it's really only three colors including black? I want to make that fucker pop.

    Thanks!

SLC has been framed a few times now with black top mat, brick colored second mat, and the red stripe frame. This lets the framing be dark like the poster, and compliment the colors to make them pop. White would have been to bright to be involved in the framing (unless preferred by a board member).

Everyone keep adding to this thread "confirmed" or "tentative" ...and please include what you are "confirmed" or "tentative" for. Like "tentative for 2 Self Fitting for January" and whatnot.

...and remember, if you're doing Self Fitting, and can wait until the end of January shipments, then you'll get 10% off the final bracket price. :D

....ok... back to framing the summer run of posters..... :)

With the new run of SLC on White, I wan't to see just how different it would be.

Hoff, any way to get up a pic of the SLC 09 poster completed work?

    Tentative for 1 SLC 09 Frame-It-Yourself dealio.

Would it be possible to have posters framed with ticket stubs? If so, how much extra would that cost?

If it gets to $159.00, I'll probably be in for at least one...possibly 3...pending finances.

Couldn't have said it better myself......except Jordan doesn't play basketball anymore and Secretariat doesn't run races anymore. Jeez dude, get with the times.

(But the Hoff still frames some mean fucking posters)

Confirmed for the full fitting option. The poster is Hartford '96, which is 17"x21.5"

I was thinking of doing the same thing with my prized Hartford 96. What do you think is the best way of doing this print right? White matting with red underneath, showing the white edges of the print? My buddy framed his and he and I go back and forth about the "proper" frame scheme for this beauty.

    Thoughts Hoff and jm78?
