I think I'm in the minority saying I like the SLC on black paper. I like that it is harder to read the date. Doesn't take away from the art.

Hoff...i know we spoke briefly before...can we talk frames only for a couple of mine? No glass, matt, mounts...blah, blah, blah...

Since I haven't been able to update the OP since I started it, I'm sure it's been hard for people to plan whether or not they're "confirmed", so I'm now extending to help people figure out whether or not they're confirmed.

The OP will be updated shortly with what bracket we're in, and a list of who's tentative, and who's confirmed.

I'll be updating the pricing bracket on the OP from now on as people post on this thread. :thumbup:

Also, the deadline has been extended until September 25th for orders to be placed, and Oct 2nd for your posters and order forms be in our (my) hands.


A number of the people I listed as "Tentative" may possibly have been "Confirmed", but I tried to avoid using "Confirmed" unless there was certainty in their post. If you are listed as Tentative, and were (or are now) supposed to be confirmed, please just post on this thread and I'll update you... and hopefully it'll get the price down even further for everyone!

...I'll be updating shipping info hopefully today with accurate shipping prices, from the many many summer orders that shipped out earlier.

Any questions? Post 'em here! Other people might have the same question!

hey there...quick question on the self service frames

probably an obviously stupid question but I'm assuming there would be no paper backing on these and we would have to install our own wire right?

Great question!

The back will not have the paper dust-cover, since that can only be put on after the poster is in there.

Looking from the back you will see the Museum Foamboard (white) and the back of the frame (black). Holding the foamboard in place (and everything else) will be black-tabs made of metal, and the are flexible. You will bend them to allow the foamboard out to install the poster, and then when you put the foamboard back in place, you bend the tabs back into place.

There will still be the same wire and everything on the back. The only thing not usually there will be the dust-cover. If at some point you want to add your own dust cover, it can be done at a future date.

Hoff, If can please post the picture of the wonderful frame job you did . I'm pretty bad with technology, as you can see with my avatar . Would love to have the picture with MIke & Matt at the St Louis Arch in the background instead .

As long as you can measure accurately, I'll be glad to do this. When you send in your form you'll need to make a huge note *different opening measurement than previously done* and I'll know to call you to get the measurement, and I'll talk you thru how to do it.
