I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere, but would you frame a non-PJ concert poster? In addition to my PJ Hartford 2010 poster, I have a DMB Gorge poster from 2006 that I have been waiting to have framed. I would love to kill two birds with one stone here, so to speak.
Will we be able to do a mix and match of full and self service? I have about 4 on the self fitting list I can handle on my own (i assume) but I also have East Troy 98 and 03 that I would send off if it works out.
I'll be answering all the questions you can post in upcoming days... and soon after that I'll start up plugging in names onto the OP list so we can see where the pricing is at. ...working like crazy a.t.m.
Confirmed for the self-fitting option. The poster is Hartford '96, which is 17"x21.5" - hoping this size is okay for self-fitting.
I was thinking of doing the same thing with my prized Hartford 96. What do you think is the best way of doing this print right? White matting with red underneath, showing the white edges of the print? My buddy framed his and he and I go back and forth about the "proper" frame scheme for this beauty.
Thoughts Hoff and jm78?
I could see it with white or red matting, but I'm okay with whatever the Hoff goes with. His work is quality!
Oh no!! So soon?! Not sure I can make it happen so quickly, but I LOOOOVE my last 3 .... decisions decisions.
I have a question, Hoff. Just curious - not trying to give you a hard time by any means: If we won't get the posters until January, why put such a soon deadline of September 18th?
I'm interested in the Self-Service option as well, but would I pay for shipping of the frames, or is shipping included in the 159 (or $143 with 10% discount) (assuming we get to lowest price bracket).
Hoff, do you have a link to that order form we filled out for the first round? Or are you doing a different type of order form? Sept 18th is rapidly approaching.
Would it be possible to have posters framed with ticket stubs? If so, how much extra would that cost?
Yup - To include 1 ticket stub, with an opening in the top mat, and the ticket "floated" on the second mat it would be the next-size price-bracket (see OP for list of larger poster prices) and an additional $28. So if your poster was 19x25, it would be $22+$28 on top of the bracket price. For larger posters it may go up if it's already in the larger size category.
With the new run of SLC on White, I wan't to see just how different it would be.
Hoff, any way to get up a pic of the SLC 09 poster completed work?
Tentative for 1 SLC 09 Frame-It-Yourself dealio.
I'll get photos up soon. ...probably mid Sept for good clear photos. But, without seeing the White SLC, I'd say the red-striped frame, and the same brick-red second mat, and a white top-mat... but can you post a photo of the white SLC? While the Self-fitting frames are meant for ones I've framed before, I'll gladly swap a white-mat as a top-mat for the black-mat that I've been using on the black one. I'm assuming the brick-red is the same on both posters?

The self-fitting posters have to be on the list I posted on the OP, just because I have accurate measurements, and I know the colors I chose were accurate. If you're up for that being full-service, I'll be glad to let you know what colors of matting and frame work best. There are often subtle shades in matboard that can make-or-break a design, so I just want to make sure the color choice is done by eye in person. I'll have photos around the middle of September of most of the posters I've framed, so those who want the "self fitting" option will know in advance what it looks like.

Gladly!
...and that WILL count towards the group, so it will help get the pricing down too.

Absolutely! Just let me know what is what. I'll be starting a list on the OP in upcoming days of who wants what.

Great question! My intent is to order everyone's materials well before we get close to the holidays for two reasons: Bulk pricing (which is how I can get the prices down for the brackets) and for availability, to make sure our suppliers get us the materials before they sell out close to the holidays. Those who need their Self-fitting frames by Christmas, I will be working on those as I get free moments, here and there, and those who are getting theirs done for the late-January run I'll be working on those probably all at once starting first week in January. If someone needs a little more time getting a poster to me, and if they can confirm in advance which posters they are framing, and can choose which frame-stripe they want, and arranges payment in advance, then I can work that out for a couple of people. I'm more worried about the moulding running out than the matting, though I also need to order the matting in bulk, along with the glass and other materials.
Shipping and packaging prices are completely separate from the framing prices.
What price bracket are we at? If we get down to $159 I'm in for 2-3 posters.
I'll soon start listing people on the OP. I think we're a couple in, but have yet to count.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU'RE IN FOR WHEN SAYING YOU'RE IN.
-Self-Fitting for Christmas (bracket price, and must be on the list of posters on OP)
-Full Service for late January (bracket price)
-Self-fitting option for late-January (bracket price minus 10%, and must be on the list of posters on the OP)
Hoff, do you have a link to that order form we filled out for the first round? Or are you doing a different type of order form? Sept 18th is rapidly approaching.
Here you go! ...I'll just be needing people to hand-write some info like "Self fitting for January" and whatnot, but we can use this same one.
OK Chris, I read your email and like what you're quoting. I am confirmed for 2 prints now Full Service and I will contact you soon to finalize the details you sent me in the email. Thanks for taking the time to send me a clear, detailed email.
someone posted their Kansas city 2010 poster on another thread. it was framed without the edges showing. i have the artist edition and want to be able to see the number/sig/doodle. will that make any difference in the self fitting?
