Eddie in Rolling Stone

Today I got my copy of the 40th anniversary of Rolling Stone. Much to my delight there was an interview with Eddie Vedder (plus about 20 other prominent artists/politicians/other).

Anyway, this is also Rolling Stone's first 'digital' edition. If you want to read up on the article go here: http://www.rollingstoneextras.com/rsdigitaledition/editionLg.php It's on page 98.

Good read overall, enjoy!

(And sorry, if this has been posted before, ignore it, I didn't go through posts as thoroughly as I usually do.)

EDIT: On a side note, since I've been subscribing to RS (for about a year now), I always look for some sort of PJ related material.. And to tell you the truth, I'm almost positive that PJ, in some way, shape, or form, has been mentioned in every magazine I've gotten. Gogo popularity!

    Interesting..
The worst enemies of music? Money and Mathematics. Combined with music, they both do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do. Money makes music cheap, mathematics makes it stupid and predictable.

if your a liberal you're a-ok with jann. this magazine basically pissed all over pearl jam until eddie started speaking out at the concerts. since then it's been a lovefest. which is why rolling stone sucks, they serve their own agenda.
  • I enjoyed reading that. Shitty online lay-out, but hey it's not easy for me to get my hands on RS so wahay to the internet for this one. Paints a cool picture of Eddie. Not quite the secluded-man-with-typewriter-and-cassette-player, but more the modern-man-with-CD-changer-and-unlocked-iPhone who likes his isolation at times. Hehehe. I like what he said about activists staying motivated and enjoying that which they aim to preserve. I'd been thinking about things like that a lot recently.

I've been thinking a lot about this type of things as well... I dont know if it is because I see my kids grow and I hope that they have a good world to live in when they are adults and have their own family ...

while my political opinions have nothing to do with me vis a vis my opinion of rolling stone, this is totally true. they cannot cover him enough since he became more vocal politically.this also goes for the whole RNR Hall of Fame establishment. it's the same people with the same agenda.
