What can we do in Texas re: tours?

NPR had a segment regarding the impact of the proposed legislation in AZ and the effect that has had on groups touring there (or Not touring there as is the case). So I was interested if the band has ever stated a specific reason why they have avoided the state of Texas (among others). Is there a specific policy or proposed policy that we, as fans in the state, can lobby against en masse to make a statement? I know there are a few individuals living here that they don't agree with and it is a very conservative state but I can't believe that would stop them. And I also have heard about the possibility of slow ticket sales but seriously? One show in the DFW are would surely sell out.

I'm not in Texas by choice, and really don't think I should be punished because of it... I won't let my 10C membership expire because I will travel to see the band... but I think I deserve some lovin' too!
