What can we do in Texas re: tours?

NPR had a segment regarding the impact of the proposed legislation in AZ and the effect that has had on groups touring there (or Not touring there as is the case). So I was interested if the band has ever stated a specific reason why they have avoided the state of Texas (among others). Is there a specific policy or proposed policy that we, as fans in the state, can lobby against en masse to make a statement? I know there are a few individuals living here that they don't agree with and it is a very conservative state but I can't believe that would stop them. And I also have heard about the possibility of slow ticket sales but seriously? One show in the DFW are would surely sell out.

I know a guy who lives in (or near) Houston. He used to be a 10 Club member and actually met Stone at one point. Yeah, I guess meeting the band isn't all that hard, you just need to know how/where/when.

Anyway, he said he canceled his 10C membership because all they do in Texas is festivals.

    :(

yeah, we miss them down here. but i get the feeling that the light went on when they saw/felt the reaction from the crowd at ACL. just watch...we're moving to Portland or Seattle in a year or 2...that's when they'll start playing TX again!! haha---they're just waiting for us to leave! :D:D

    Dear PJ,
    come back to TX soon.

    Thanks,

texas.... please.... would love to not have to travel 1/2 way across the continent to see my favourite live show... 2008 flew to NYC....in 2009 flew to Toronto (did ACL as well mind you), and this year drove 5 hours to New Orleans and flew to Boston....

I'm not in Texas by choice, and really don't think I should be punished because of it... I won't let my 10C membership expire because I will travel to see the band... but I think I deserve some lovin' too!
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
