    Another reason why Pearl Jam left Sony because of all these insane promo items they kept throwing out to the fans. I think the Off He Goes condom was a huge success.

    the off he goes promo wasnt official D....

    Cds were highly profitable in the early 90's - booming business, so its very understandable that all the gimmicks were used to promote their releases.....i think this was common place back in the day

    your not telling me PJ didnt have a big hand in the basketball themed items released for ten?

    The basketball themed items were perfect. Seeing Jeff each night on stage, checking the photos in Hit Paradar & Rolling Stone mag's where he's always wearing basketball gear gave us all a hunch he loved basketball .. BIG TIME!!! :P

    CD's was booming business in the 90's. Imports, bootlegs, collectibles etc.. 2000 though, they have lost their flavor, what with digital downloads & vinyl coming back.

    I thought that condom was an official Sony thing. I bought a Yield promo box set that had one, and another that came with the CD import of Off He Goes, I think. :|

    That yield box is totally unofficial D....I have one too, its cool, but not made by sony.

    I love the promo shit too....think its really cool...

    the recent ipod was the best in a long long time
