me too.. i cannot stand the meadows and the dipshit hartford police.
though in '06, some friends and i got rooms at the ultra swanky econo lodge (or is it motel 6..) right near the meadows. it was all pj fans and we were allowed to tailgate hassle free on their property - unlike what was going on in the parking lots.
twasn't bad..i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam0 -
worst thing about Hartford for me was that we parked right across the street from a Dunkin Donuts. And it was fucking closed! At 5:00 PM on a Saturday. WTF?0
-
Yeah the parking was pretty bad...walking those like 2 miles, rediculous

if you want to hear exactly what was said you can goto http://www.wccc.com on the left hand side click on PODCAST then look for the 6 concert questions w/ Karoyli & Koplik podcast and click on that.
During his interview he says he's been able to get PJ on every tour since '95.
He didnt mean just hartford.....Koplik also books S.P.A.C. and the Pepsi Arena or whatever the new name is now in N.Y." to myself i surrender, to the one i'll never please"

I would take 2 nights at the SPAC in a heartbeat!!!! Saw Phish the 2 nights in 04 and it was amazing, such a cool venue. All the parking lots are on "levels" on the side of the mountain with paths between them. Balcony above the pit. How awesome if the tour was like Boston, Hartford, SPAC, NYC, Philly, DC, NC, Fl, GA, TX

You guys remember how cold it was in 06? Still a great show. Before I Got Shyt Ed dedicates the song to the people in the lawn and says that this song could be called i got shit tickets! Love the RVM.
I don't like the sound at the meadows but i'll take a show any day where i don't have to travel that far to get too. Wouldn't mind a night or two at Jones Beach this summer!7.5.03 Camden I, 10.2.04 Toledo, 9.15.05 Montreal, 9.16.05 Ottawa, 10.1.05 Atlantic City, 5.13.06 Hartford, 5.27.06 Camden I, 5.30.06 DC, 6.3.06 NJ II, 7.7.06 San Diego, Lollapalooza 2007, 6.24.08 MSG I, 6.25.08 MSG II, 6.27.08 Hartford, 6.28.08 Mansfield I, 6.30.08 Mansfield II, 10.28.09 Philly II, 10.30.09 Philly III, 10.31.09 Philly IV0 -

i read this time and again on these forums, and i am dumbfounded. i *LOVE* concerts at jones beach. sure, i have seen some shows with poor sound, but the issues CAN be corrected....and i've attneded more shows with excellent sound there than the reverse. i love, love, love shows at jones! i happily wish for another 3 nighter there! i miseed them there in 2000.....definitely would not miss em there now! *crosses fingers*
however, i will happily see them anywhere in the NYC vicinity.i went to hartford in 2006....don't think i'd go back. boston, maybe. depends on how many shows they do in NY. i WILL say, reading about rumors of them returning to hartford, and any/all places in the northeast make me soooo happy simply b/c it makes it that much more likely they WILL come back here, this year, and will have show(s) in NY! summer would be PERFECT!
Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -

So after seeing this thread earlier i decided to listen to the show while watching some college hoops today. The Why go / Garden combo is SICK! Haven't listened to this show in a while and its pretty dam good. RVM is still my favorite from this show!7.5.03 Camden I, 10.2.04 Toledo, 9.15.05 Montreal, 9.16.05 Ottawa, 10.1.05 Atlantic City, 5.13.06 Hartford, 5.27.06 Camden I, 5.30.06 DC, 6.3.06 NJ II, 7.7.06 San Diego, Lollapalooza 2007, 6.24.08 MSG I, 6.25.08 MSG II, 6.27.08 Hartford, 6.28.08 Mansfield I, 6.30.08 Mansfield II, 10.28.09 Philly II, 10.30.09 Philly III, 10.31.09 Philly IV0 -

... but i will be there with bells on, of course
Exactly...the Meadows blows. Seats are way too far apart and I think they sprinkle season ticket holders in with the 10C seats. That said, I really hope they play the Northeast!0 -
I would go again..Make it three out of three. 2006 it was the first of my five shows. I think EV was under the weather and it was cold and damp. The music was Ok, it was a good opener for my mini tour.
Harbor Yard would be a dream.Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!0 -
"Harbor Yard would be a dream."
You got that right. Back in 06' Koplick said he was trying to get PJ to play there.
Great small place to see a show. Saw The Who there a few years ago and it was great. Not to mention that Pepe's Pizza is right down the road now so it would be a great night.04/06/94 Springfield, 04/17/94 NYC, 10/02/96 Hartford, 11/14/97 Oakland, 09/08/98 NJ, 09/10/98 MSG, 09/11/98 MSG, 09/13/98 Hartford, 08/24/00 Jones Beach, 08/25/00 Jones Beach 04/30/03 Uniondale, 07/08/03 MSG, 07/09/03 MSG, 09/28/04 Boston, 10/01/05 Borgata, 10/03/05 Philly, 05/13/06 Hartford 05/25/06 Boston, 06/01/06 NJ, 06/03/06 NJ, 08/05/07 Chicago, 06/24/08 MSG, 06/25/08 MSG, 06/27/08 Hartford, 06/30/08 Mansfield, 07/01/08 The Beacon, 08/21/09 Toronto, 10/27/09 Philly, 10/28/09 Philly, 10/30/09 Philly, 10/31/09 Philly, 05/15/2010 Hartford, 05/17/2010 Boston, 05/20/2010 MSG, 05/21/2010 MSG, Montreal 09/07/2011, Philly 09/01/2012, Wrigley 07/19-20,2013, Worcester 10/16/13, Brooklyn 10/18, Brooklyn 10/19/13, Hartford 10/25/13, Ed Sullivan 09/23/2015, Central Park 09/26/2015 Philly 04/29/2016.
