Jim Koplick who is a promoter in the Northeast stated on the radio today that PJ is touring this summer and Hartford is a possible stop. Koplick said the same thing last time PJ played in Hartford (probably the last time I posted) and he was right then. He is very reliable and if he says PJ is touring I would believe this to be true. :)

  • It's been a while since I've stopped by the boards, so this is the first I'm hearing about possible tour dates. I was cursorily reading about Bonnaroo and thought that would be all the news for the summer, so some other shows in the States would be great.

Did you see Keith? Have you met him? I guess my question is could you decipher what the hell the guy was saying?

"Uh ya blokey now see the roof man there's some and ya know it's raining and uh my amps and leather man ya know how it goes man right?"

    (best Keith Richards impersonation)

Impressive set of shows you've seen...we've been to a few together!

No have never met him-When I was there over the summer he was finishing up The Stones tour over in England. He was home last Tuesday b/c they called and said I couldn't go over.
Awesome house though. Lots of skulls, knifes and swords around. Many pictures. Mostly of his daughters. Seems like a real family man and have been told what a great guy he is to people that work for him.

"Impressive set of shows you've seen...we've been to a few together!"

Thanks-my addiction started when my friends "dragged" me to the Springfield show. Was just blown away. Besides seeing Plant,Page, JP Jones, and Jason Bonham perform together back in 88'(yes that was the last time they performed together just the 4 of them before last December) that Springfield show is one I will always remember as being my favorite.
We are lucky to live here in CT as MSG/NJ is only 1:20 drive, Hartford 45 min, Boston 2:00 and Philly is 2:45. Hopefully we'll get to drive to a few of those cities this summer.

you mean the parking lot scene.. I agree,,
But that show and boot remain one of my favrites .. best "Why go / Garden" combo of the whole tour..
Mikey's "Black solo" was jaw-dropping as well..

me too.. i cannot stand the meadows and the dipshit hartford police.

though in '06, some friends and i got rooms at the ultra swanky econo lodge (or is it motel 6..) right near the meadows. it was all pj fans and we were allowed to tailgate hassle free on their property - unlike what was going on in the parking lots.

    twasn't bad..

  • worst thing about Hartford for me was that we parked right across the street from a Dunkin Donuts. And it was fucking closed! At 5:00 PM on a Saturday. WTF?
  • Yeah the parking was pretty bad...walking those like 2 miles, rediculous

Whatever, crowd sucked but PJ played great

  • if you want to hear exactly what was said you can goto http://www.wccc.com on the left hand side click on PODCAST then look for the 6 concert questions w/ Karoyli & Koplik podcast and click on that.

During his interview he says he's been able to get PJ on every tour since '95.
He didnt mean just hartford.....Koplik also books S.P.A.C. and the Pepsi Arena or whatever the new name is now in N.Y.

I would take 2 nights at the SPAC in a heartbeat!!!! Saw Phish the 2 nights in 04 and it was amazing, such a cool venue. All the parking lots are on "levels" on the side of the mountain with paths between them. Balcony above the pit. How awesome if the tour was like Boston, Hartford, SPAC, NYC, Philly, DC, NC, Fl, GA, TX
