CD-R Donation and Recycling

A while back, I read something on the board about someone who sends shows on disc to troops.

I am currently trying to get rid of my physical cd-r collection since I have put everything on external hard-drives.

Does anyone have advice on how to go about sending discs to troops or simply recycling them economically? I have 3,000+ discs, so I'm hoping to do all this cheaply, without simply throwing everything away.

Also, are there any issues I should be concerned about with sending out live shows from non-taper friendly bands?

Thanks for any advice people might have.

Cheers!

that was something I coordinated on here and I am very grateful for whatever you can do to assist. Others on here have been amazing and through the Yellow Ribbon Club, we have been sending PJ allowable shows to Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as saving copies to take down to Walter Reed when my group (http://www.yellowribbonclub.org) goes to visit our Wounded Heroes. That trip was pushed back sometime this fall. Please PM me and we can talk and thank you so much for your thoughts and efforts. Some of the Troops receiving our gifts are forum members on here as well and life is the best knowing us PJ fans are with them
