A cross between Bruce Springsteen and Social Distortion.
Interesting. Worth a listen ?
i like 'em a lot...have all three albums....but, for me, they are 90% bruce and 10% (if that) social D. new album is decent but they need to evolve a little or people may start to lose interest (IMHO).
If I had known then what I know now...
Vegas 93, Vegas 98, Vegas 00 (10 year show), Vegas 03, Vegas 06
VIC 07
EV LA1 08
Seattle1 09, Seattle2 09, Salt Lake 09, LA4 09
Columbus 10
EV LA 11
Vancouver 11
Missoula 12
Portland 13, Spokane 13
St. Paul 14, Denver 14
Their sound is 90% Bruce Springsteen and 10% Killers when they tried making a Springsteen album (Sam's Town).
That said, I like the band and their vibe. I think it's cool when young bands pay homage to the greats before them, like PJ has done their whole career.
All of you bashing these guys need to get a f-ing clue. The first time I saw PJ live was at Lollapalooza in '92 and the highlight for me at the time was them covering Baba O'Reilly...I was 19 years old and thought it was cool as shit that they played a song I heard as a kid.
I swear I'm embarassed at the way a lot of people on this board react when PJ is covered....it is a show of respect and admiration. BTW I saw PLENTY of emotion in the performance, it was one of the things I liked about it.
