^Absolutely. Check out The '59 Sound - it's their second album and is awesome.

I enjoyed that, thought it was a decent effort from a band that I wouldnt associate with a Pearl Jam cover.

Just got tickets to see The Gaslight Anthem when they play in Dublin later this year, great band.

Their sound is 90% Bruce Springsteen and 10% Killers when they tried making a Springsteen album (Sam's Town).

That said, I like the band and their vibe. I think it's cool when young bands pay homage to the greats before them, like PJ has done their whole career.

All of you bashing these guys need to get a f-ing clue. The first time I saw PJ live was at Lollapalooza in '92 and the highlight for me at the time was them covering Baba O'Reilly...I was 19 years old and thought it was cool as shit that they played a song I heard as a kid.

I swear I'm embarassed at the way a lot of people on this board react when PJ is covered....it is a show of respect and admiration. BTW I saw PLENTY of emotion in the performance, it was one of the things I liked about it.
