Americans are loosing their sense of traditions. When people say stupid things like retire Evenflow it proves my point. Every time we get a classic people want change. I say the only good change is your underwear. Keep our classics. Keep Evenflow.

The OP and the only other person that seems to agree are from Europe... so... huh?
I am in the U.S are you trying to tell me that other countries have internet

So of the 10 most played songs Even Flow, Alive, Black, Jeremy, Porch, Daughter Corduroy, Better Man, Do The Evolution, RVM...I don't think any of this songs should be banned from the setlists. In fact the only song I don't think they have to do at every single show is Do The Evolution (but we already had this Thread). I'd rather hear Porch more often.

    NICE

    Unlikely!

This was meant as a bit of humour, I guess people take it way too seriously. And for the record, I love hearing Even Flow live.

I expect these songs when i go to Pearl Jam...

It's amazing how many songs they can play and yess... if you visit Pearl Jam 20 times in a row you may get a little to much of Even Flow.

But if you just visit them once a year it's amazing when you hear those songs wich made them great.
I still often listen to the very first live shows in Europe like Tivoli and Pinkpop '92.
If it was possible to time travel i would haven gone once a year to Pinkpop '92 8-)

I know its impossible, but Id love to see a show without any of these or crazy mary.

I guess thats what happens when you have seen a lot of shows.

whatever, I always enjoy whatever they choose to play.

Imagine if you were a new fan and you went to your first gig and didnt hear Even Flow. In fact, imagine going to your first gig and hearing nothing but obscure shit like Bugs and Push Me Pull Me.

    you'd be pretty damn annoyed.

Belfast was pretty much the ideal show for me. They played the classics (Even Flow, Black, Alive) mixed in with shit like Present Tense, No Way and Tremor Christ.

Thats the way it should be, i reckon

If only Ed would call me for setlist consultation before each show. Then we'd be all good. :D

And The Stones should retire 'Satisfaction' while we're at it.

I know Evenflow is played at every show, and you expect to hear it when you go, but when I hear those opening notes live, I become a madman. It brings me back to when I first heard the song. As posted before, I would rather hear Alive over Evenflow, but Evenflow is a classic and shouldn't go anywhere!
40+ shows, it is never enough!
