Time to give this song a Viking funeral and only bring it back when Bugs has the same number of plays. :o

Agree 100%! They've played it 666 times because they ENJOY playing it. I say let 'em have their fun!

Plus, the solos in Evenflow are awesome. 'Nuff said.

    thats hopefully true.
we can hardly understand how it must be for the band to play the same (though still awesome and timeless songs) for 20 years over and over again.

I really don't get the Even Flow haters.
I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, etc... etc... yawn.
It's not may favourite tune, but hey, once you hear that opening chord, you know you're in for a ride.
We (10C members) are not the only ones that go to shows, remember a lot of people who are lucky enough to score tickets, will be at their first PJ show, and want to hear it.
The fact they still play it shows it's appeal.
From a technique point of view, it also give's Mike a chance to loosen up, as it's normally played fairly early on these days.

I feel Evenflow has gone tame (with is bound to hapen when you play a song +600 times). I don't feel any emotion or care from Ed, sound like it's on automatic for the crowd.

I want the guys to play songs that mean something for them and i don't want them to play songs like a habit.

But I don't have a problem with the song, it gets the crowd going and I rather hear it than Alive and porch. But I was sort of happy when I missed it in both London and Copenhagen (2007) though...

But I think they could mix it up somemore (evenflow, alive, DTE, Corduroy, GTF etc), all theese songs doesn't need to be played every night. And they have other great songs to fill up their spaces with, there were also singles and/or radio "hits".

Americans are loosing their sense of traditions. When people say stupid things like retire Evenflow it proves my point. Every time we get a classic people want change. I say the only good change is your underwear. Keep our classics. Keep Evenflow.

Just a terrible idea to retire Even Flow. Knock that right off.

It would be a travesty to not hear Even Flow anymore.

Everyone has a right to their opinion- I'm just disappointed in yours.

I don't want to have the conversation in a few years "Remember when they used to rock the fuck out to Even Flow? That was fun."

If they didn't want to play it, they wouldn't.
  • Again, I don't know peoples infatuation with these rarely played songs such as bugs. This is annoying the shit out of me people thinking they are something special for seeing a seldomly played song. There is a reason they are rarely played, it's because the band doesn't feel it's there best work. Songs such as even flow is what made the band what they are today, to say it's played too much and shouldn't be played again is an assinine statement which means you should probably take a break from seeing then live. This would be like someone saying the who shouldn't play my generation anymore, or zeppelin ( if they were together) shouldn't play stairway. Totally moronic statement sir.
