This is a little bit of a sore subject for me... I've actually e-mailed Ten Club twice and have not heard a reply. I thought I brought up a very valid discussion. Here's the e-mail I sent...

    Ten Club,

I do not want to come across as unappreciative, but I wanted to voice my disapproval concerning the new offer for the 2009 tour box set. I am very grateful for all that the band and Ten Club does for its fans, but I just wanted to bring something to your attention if it hasn't been already.

I purchased the first 28 shows from 2009 shortly after they were made available at a rate of 16.98 each (475.44 total). I also plan to purchase the Philly box set that was just made available for $60. Then when an individual box for the tour becomes available, I plan on purchasing that as well. That will put my total cost for the 2009 bootlegs around $550! My complaint is that I'm being punished for purchasing sooner rather than later. I could've gotten the entire collection at the new special price of $395. That would've saved me $155 if I had only waited. Problem is, I had no idea such an offer would eventually be made a few short months later. In other words, I'll end up being punished to the tune of $155 for buying the same product, only much earlier. This just doesn't seem fair to me.

I've purchased every official bootleg that has been put out on CD format since they started doing it in 2000. I will, more than likely, continue this in the future. I love this band, but I think the issue that I explained is a huge disservice. Is there any possible way to rectify this?

This is how pricing generally works. Demand is highest for a product when it is new. Once the product is no longer new, the price drops because it's better to have someone buy something at a discounted price than to have them not buy it at all. Otherwise, you're left with a bunch of merchandise gathering cobwebs in a warehouse. For example, I pay $39.99 or thereabouts for each season of "The Simpsons" on DVD when it is first released. Generally, within a few months, when retailers realize they have a bunch of product that would otherwise go unsold, they discount the DVDs to $29.99 or $24.99. I've seen one season as low as $12.99-- the same exact product that I bought for $39.99 a few months earlier. This is just the way pricing works.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I REALLY like the Subscription Idea mentioned earlier in this thread!
Some of the poster artist offer subscriptions to their works.
Maybe even offer the empty box as a "freebie" if you subscribe to the "All the Boots" Program.
I know I'd sign up right now...
    How about it 10C???

Feel the same way...not purchasing any of the 2010 boots until they come out as a boxset...sucks to have to wait...

10C should mail each member that purchased all the 2009 CD's a free box...

I do think it would be a good business move to offer a volume discount, something like 1 show for $16.98, 3 for $45.00; 5 for $70.00; 10 for $120.00.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else.

Bought all the boots as they were released. Waiting on the "empty box." Disgusted that I was gullible enough to overpay. Waiting for the full release of 2010. My luck...they'll sell the complete 2010 box set at the same rate they sold the individuals...to make things "right."
