nice...i am no expert kayaker by any stretch of the imagination. but my pops has a few kayaks that we bring out to a pretty big lake near us sometimes. i also like taking one of them out in the back bays down the shore. good times...good exercise too. i love it.www.myspace.com0 -

Down here in Florida I take the kayak out in the ocean & go fishing. I hooked a 6' tarpon this past week. An incredible site to see it dancing on its tail before it spit the hook out

All the big fish I catch I release, I've caught a lot of big Walleye, but no pike over 10 lbs. Most fish that big the meat is no good in my opinion. Plus the big fish have good genetics so they will strengthen the herd.0

I'm smoked a big pike and it was all right.
Never ate a walleye (pickerel) over 5 lbs before. 1.5 pounds is perfect for a pickerel. Biggest pike I caught was 44" (figure around 20 lbs as it was pretty thin). Never measured the length of the 15 lb'er but it was smaller than 44" for sure.1/12/1879, 4/8/1156, 2/6/1977, who gives a shit, ...0 -
Walleye are great to eat, I agree with 1.5lbs are the best eating, biggest I have caught was 12 lbs(released). Oh yeah.
Caught some big catfish too around that size.0 -
12 lbs is huge. I've been in the boat for a 10 lb'er once. Biggest I caught is a 7-lb'er.1/12/1879, 4/8/1156, 2/6/1977, who gives a shit, ...0

Bay of Quinty my friend, me and my brother caught over 10 walleyes all over 10 pounds, including a double header with two 12 pounders. We were out in the boat in January about 3 years ago when we had that really mild winter.0

I didn't realize that there were trophy walleye in Southern Ontario -- learn something new every day. Haven't got out yet this year.1/12/1879, 4/8/1156, 2/6/1977, who gives a shit, ...0

The Payette River flooded big time this weekend. Roads and bridges taken out. Chaos everywhere! Cats and dogs getting along; it was fucking crazy. So, while the police and Forest Service were evacuating the back country, my wife and I sat tight and waited for everyone to leave and then drove in around the high water on roads half missing or undercut and about to go. We made our way into one of the deepest little outback primitive resorts in central Idaho with a huge natural hot spring and tons of wildlife and we had it to ourselves!
The owners were impressed with our gung-ho attitude, and happy to have any business at all.
We saw some scary big roaring water for sure! Awesome spectacle.Idaho's Premier Outdoor Writer

I just got back from a week long canoe trip to the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota last week and had a great time paddling around and fishing. I did OK with the walleye and small jaw, but the damn pike would not leave me alone.
This was my first extended trip into BWCA and I can't wait to get back up there later this summer. I love how everything interconnects up there.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
Just got back from doing 45 km in 3 days! Fun shit went down some rapids hitting rocks which turned me sideways then went down the rest of the way backwards.
