Hi gang,
let me interject. bridge and tunnel comment does not apply here,(NY term), unless of course you are from eastie, or somewhere on the north shore and need to go over a bridge ot thru a tunnel to get into the city. (you can get around that if you cut through Chelsea or down rt. 16 and then 93S) yes, I know, only locals know what I'm talking about, but then, this is Boston show thread. I've been going to bars in Boston since EV was working in that Goddam Drugstore! I would not want to go to the harp on a Friday night at 11:00 P.M.- lots of ballcaps and cheap perfume-however, an afternoon fundraiser on a Monday will only draw Pearl pearl jam fans. Don't know anythin about BSL, so I won't speak on it. It's for a good cause, so, let the music play, the booze flow, and the good times roll. See you there. BE SAFE AND LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER.

I'm sure nobody will be disappointed that your not attending the pre-party. We are all going to have an awesome time hanging out and rocking out to Backseat Lover before Pearl Jam. As I stated before in this thread Negative people need not attend and sour everyone's mood. :)

You're cute.
I don't really hate BSL that much. I just like to watch people go bananas when I say they're a bad band.

I have to go over a bridge and through a tunnel, so I guess I'm one of "those" people. But I'd swim if necessary to get to this preparty. And if the PBR at the dumpster on Tremont doesn't work for the naysayers, there's always the happy alternative of the multitiered concrete fiasco that is Government Center and a bottle of Boone's Farm in a paper bag and an a cappella version of "Yellow Ledbetter." Whatever floats your kayak, folks.

As for me, I'll be at the Harp with some kind of beer and a happy grin on my face. As long as the band is playing Pearl Jam songs it doesn't matter to me if it's fronted by Jessica Simpson. Well, wait a second... I may have gone too far there...

  • Also, Backseat Lover recently donated a large sum of money and several big raffle items to the Team McCready fundraiser in Boston. They are a group of extremely generous guys. They are definitely not looking to "cash in".

True Dat!! these dudes are not out to make $...they love the music just like MOST of us and they are talented enough to play it.....i'd be the first mutha fucka to yell out loud "they suck" if they really sucked...but they are a great band and a really cool bunch of guys that i have just been getting to know through running the TM fundraiser.....they hooked us up big time, in a very unselfish fashion....and "cashing in" isn't what these guys are about at all.....and i can think of no better way to spend my pre show hours than drinking beer with my friends and rocking out with Backsetlover...& i don't give a fuck what bar it is...for those few hours it will be OUR BAR!!!

I can't wait and appreciate that someone has brought negativity to a fundraiser. You're awesome thank you.
this chick has had a grudge against backseat lover for a long time now ... im probably not going to get this right... but it's something like this

a while back she was writing some article or something and since the lead singer didn't bow down and kiss her boots she decided that he was nothing but an eddie wannabe ... sorry he didn't drop everything so you could get a great story for your blog with 17.5 followers
You are correct sir, whoever you are. Although I sort of take offense to being referred to as a "chick." It has nothing to do with the lead singer not kissing my boots (something I would not recommend to anyone, actually). I am a writer, that is true, and was doing a little something a la "Fargo Rock City" on BSL in Boston & the surrounding areas. Like... New Hampshire.
Mr. Pants... I thought u were calling Jecica "this chick." I was like, WHAT?! Now I get it .

I'm confused by all of this talk, talk, talk. I'm a simpleton. I like good beers, good buddies, good Pearl Jam.

One great thing about the Harp is that there are no windows in the bar area facing TD Banknorth, so the whole area will be rocking to PJ tunes.

    Will Call 3pm

    Harp 4pm

    TD Banknorth 7pm

Please close with Indifference and open w/Release (or Long Road). Either openers could be dedicated to Mr. Zinn.

The countdown begins......1 week people and the official PJ Holiday is upon us. This is so awesome, don't you just love the anticipation?

Also, give your self plenty of time to get into Boston if you're an outta-stater. Traffic can be brutal afer 4pm.
