Sweet idea, this is awesome! If I had the funds I'd be in. I read one of your posts from another topic regarding framing (about museum glass). How/What is the best way to frame a poster? What type of glass and why? If there's already a topic on this somewhere, could someone direct me. Thank you!
Framing a poster with matting keeps the art from touching the glass. Prints can stick to the glass over time, so keeping the paper from touching is important, if you are concerned about preservation. Spacers can also be used, but spacers work best if the art is drymounted, which is not recommended for anything of value. Also how the art is attached to the backing board, and what the backing board is is important as well. If you drymount a poster, or if the poster is attached incorrectly (which I've seen from opening up other frame jobs) it can negatively hurt the artwork and value.
Best glass for protecting the artwork is a tie. TruVue Conservation Glass and TruVue Museum Glass are the best glass. Museums use them both and they both have the protective film.
Reflection wise, TruVue's Museum Glass is the best out there. It gives back less than 1% reflection, and the reflections you do see are dulled-down with a hue of blue that is hard for your eye to see. So if you see reflections, it should be relatively dark with Museum Glass. Conservation Glass looks like regular glass reflection.
There are other cheaper generic conservation glass products out there, or some of the big-box stores use "seconds" of Museum glass that have imperfections, but both TruVue Conservation and Museum Glasses are the top of the line.

Are you going to NYC by car? If so, it can stay in your car. The way I'll pack them will be safe for the average vehicle. If you're coming to Bristow, I may be able to bring them there too... though only to the parking lot since I'm unable to make it to the preshow at Bristow.

Cardinal and DIrty Tom, if you're able to bring an average size suitcase under the plane with some clothes in it, that would be a good way to transport a couple of framed pictures. It would only take up about 33" long x 27" wide x 1.5" deep per picture (and 3" deep for 2 pictures, and so on). I do this when transporting very expensive artwork myself, and haven't had a problem yet. The pictures would have some protection with bubblewrap and cardboard cut to size, so it would be pretty well protected. It's just a matter of if you are ok with bringing a suitcase.
Stugots and PJ_ROCKS, since you're not going to the MSG shows (and not likely to be near Richmond for a pickup) if you find anyone going to MSG from Chicago or Montana who can put them in their luggage for you, or who may be driving from there - that may be a possibility, though unlikely unless someone comes forward to volunteer their services.
BraceYourSelf - Just let me know if you want to proceed. I'm happy to do a pre-order as part of this special for the 2010 posters and if shipping to you is really that cheap, that's a great deal! You mean find someone from Montana coming to the MSG preshow to pickup for you? Yeah, that would be helpful. Anyone from Montana want to bring framing from NYC to Montana for him/her? We can work out a group discount in the future, with enough participation. MSG preshow seems like a natural one, since so many people are coming to that show.
Unfortunately mockups are really time consuming (took me like a 40 minutes to work up the sample mockup). But any of the seven frames you see on the website can be used, and any colors in the print you want to highlight, I'll use the closest mat colors.
For yours I'd recommend the sliver-striped frame (to play off the white). Matting I may also recommend that the top-mat is white (because the white paper is so bright) and the inner mat is either that orange-red-sky color, or the blue color. But I'm glad to use any color combination you'd like!
If you decide to officially (or tentatively) be added to the list of frame orders, let me know and I'll add you to the original post tally.
