Tea Baggers who want smaller gov and less gov spending....

Where were you during the GW administration? I find it funny to say the least that you are now, all of a sudden, out rallying against gov spending.
I am going to go ahead and say that a good MAJORITY of the tea baggers are RACIST. Seriously, what other reason could there be to be flying a Confederate flag with a tea bag hanging from your sun glasses?

Maybe people were thinking that GW would soon be out of office and then there would be change. Huh....guess not.
The people need to stand up to this government sometime, just happens to be now instead of a few years ago. And I don't think it really matters who is in Washington. I'm sure when Obamas time is up the Tea Party will still be around. My question is, how many of these anti tea partiers (liberals, democrats, etc.) are going to join the party when there's a republican in the White House?0 -
uhhh ... seriously ... how many more threads does there have to be saying the same thing? ... really - what does it matter where they were? ... where are people NOW with the way Obama is running things? ... it's pretty clear - there is a lot of partisanship amongst the populace ... people need to move past that and focus on the issues ...0

It doesn't surprise me to see the race card played so early (and so poorly) in this administration's tenure though.hippiemom = goodness0 -

i'm not sure what you mean ... but america is racist ... obviously not everyone but the reality is that many americans are indeed racists ... denying this fact or turning a blind eye to it will not help ... racism is ignorance and there is a lot of it when it comes to many things ...0 -

Goddammit !!!!!! I am so sick of people playing the race card.America is not a racist country. If that were the case Obama never would have been elected president in the first place. Is there racism in America ? Yes. But there is racism everywhere. I listen to a lot of talk radio and you would not believe all the black people that call in to these shows and they are saying that they are sick and tired of people calling the tea partiers Racist. Not only that one of them even said that "he was sick of being called African American. He said" Im a black american" I could go on and on. This is nothing but a Sal Alinsky tactic beind used by the left to smear thse people. It's what the left does best.
Why don't some of you people put your money where your mouth is and go to a tea party and proove it. Oh and further more Andrew Breitbart Said this"

It’s time for the allegedly pristine character of Rep. John Lewis to put up or shut up. Therefore, I am offering $10,000 of my own money to provide hard evidence that the N- word was hurled at him not 15 times, as his colleague reported, but just once. Surely one of those two cameras wielded by members of his entourage will prove his point.
And surely if those cameras did not capture such abhorrence, then someone from the mainstream media — those who printed and broadcast his assertions without any reasonable questioning or investigation — must themselves surely have it on camera. Of course we already know they don’t. If they did, you’d have seen it by now.
THOUSANDS OF TIMES.
Rep. Lewis, if you can’t do that, I’ll give him a backup plan: a lie detector test. If you provide verifiable video evidence showing that a single racist epithet was hurled as you walked among the tea partiers, or you pass a simple lie detector test, I will provide a $10K check to the United Negro College Fund.0 -

your obsession with the "Left" is truly fascinating ... i mean - really, the people you SHOULD be courting are lefties and true progressives ... they are the ones that have been fighting corrupt gov't and kickbacks to corporations before you guys came along ...
you toss around "Left" all the time and I really don't think you know what that means ... i mean - i'm a lefty (maybe a bit west of left) and i want honest/transparent governance, a peaceful sustainable planet and equality for all ... what do you hate about that?
remember - democrats are not Left ... obama is NOT left ... those guys are centrists at most ...0 -

And Im even sicker of this crap. and the where were you when ? What damn difference does it make where some of us were? It's better late than never that Americans are waking up. Not only that Obama is spending and doing things that make bush look like a conservative and I don't hear a damn word about it from the left,at least not on this board. All you leftist,Progressives are being very hypocritical when it comes to political dissent. Its all good until you dissagree on the issues. We are in a place right now and are more divided than ever before, and I truly believe that this is what Obama is trying to do to this country.0 -

Dude Obama is not a centrist Ok? I don't know what the hell you are smoking up there. I know you guys get good bud up there but DAMN.. Are you even paying attention to all things that he's done just in the last year.
I know what left means..
I really think you need to check your political compass when it comes to left and right. I will submit to you that yes both parties are corrupt, but the dems are in control right now. That's wahy we have to get real conservatives back in both houses and get rid of the J. Mcains and the LIndsey Ghrams of the republican party.0 -

obama is NOT left ... Kucinich would be classified as left ... and he's been pretty much against most of what Obama has done and is doing ...

Huh? When did I say there was no racism in America? In fact, throwing out the race card at every turn does nothing but keep racism alive because people become afraid to talk about the issue.
News flash...there is racism in every country.hippiemom = goodness0 -

Actually the more I read this the more it pisses me off.
America is not racist. That is not even possible. Some americans are racist though.hippiemom = goodness0 -

that's your nationalistic defensive mechanism kicking in ... the kind that takes every criticism as a personal afront ... the thing that makes americans - americans i guess ... it's a great quality but often obstructs ones perceptions ... no doubt you are getting pissed reading this too ...
anyways - if it makes people feel better ... i am more than happy to say canada is racist and pretty much everwhere ... our failure to acknowledge this is what allows racism to persist ... that is my point ... we want to believe we are better people but in fact we are not ... the only way to tackle it is to face it ...0 -

Canada is not racist. Some Canadians are though. That's my point. You think it's my nationalistic defense mechanism...I think it's my reality mechanism. It has nothing to do with where I am from or what nation we are discussing.
I agree that we need to face it and tackle it head on. I think you do so with open and fair discussion, not villifying anyone that makes a comment that can be MADE to appear racist every chance you get.hippiemom = goodness0 -

maybe it's just semantics on how you want to encompass it ... but there are still segregated proms in schools ... there are people who hate Obama simply because he is black ... and for every one of those people there are 5 that won't say it but feel it ... its subversive ... and it manifests itself in many ways ... go walk around in small towns as a visible minority and see how you are treated ...0 -

tell me what left means to you ...
I will put it this way when I think of a liberal or a left leaning individual this is what enters my mind.
> Tax payer funded abortion
2. supports bigger Gov or welfare state
3. gun control in other words doesn't like the 2nd amendment
4. politicle correctness
4. anti religion in the public sector
5. opposition to full private property rights
6.Thinks that the constitution is a living and breathing document.
7.income redistribution through progressive taxation
I could keep going but I think you get my point.
As far as D.Kucinich goes yeah he's definitly far left in my book, open boarders ( co sponser of HR 500),progressive taxaton But he does support the decriminilzation of marjuana so that's a good thing even though I personally don't smoke anymore, but we wasting to much money on the war on drugs when it comes to herb.0
