I know everyone is putting Backspacer at the end of their lists...and I may have done that a couple weeks ago, but this cd has been in my car since I bought it. I popped it in a week ago, and it seems to already to be aging gracefully. The songs are growing on me and now it's on non stop again, I used to dislike and skip supersonic and I can't believe how that song now gets me going in the morning. Give it another chance....Binaural used to be my least favorite PJ album, now it's up with the top. I don't think Backspacer will ever be my favorite or the best PJ album by any means, but it's definately solid and a great listen. With that said, the best PJ album probably is Ten....just a classic kick ass album... Vitalogy would be if it didn't have some of the meandering filler noise in it, if it was trimmed down to the essence of the record, then it may have the greatest collection of songs. Take out bugs, pry to, Aye Davanita, Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me....and it's number 1 for me.

    NO CODE

Since we're playing some rankings and I haven't done that in a long time, here's my current thought:

    1. No Code
    2. Vs.
    3. Ten
    4. Yield
    5. Vitalogy
    6. Avocado
    7. Backspacer
    8. Binaural
    9. Riot Act

That being said, I enjoy every album, so this list changes by week.

No Code simply because I love the photographs that come with it especially the one with the guy falling from the sky near a building. :0)

The problem here, BS songs just aren't growers. They start out average and stay average. It sounds like a lazy man's PJ album to me.

    VS.

From front to back this album does not let up.... there is not one weak song. "Go" is the best opener and "Indifference" is the best closer of any PJ albums in my opinion. Like someone said before... If I had to pick one album to play for someone who hasn't heard PJ before, this would be it. One listen and most people instantly fall in love... it's that good. #2No Code #3Vitalogy #4Yield #5Ten #6Avocado #7Binaural #8Backspacer #9Riot Act
