no wonder the midwest and south get left out.

It's Sunday after tickets went on sale and you can still get lower level seats for both KC and St. Louis. Weak!!

I'm all for PJ coming to see us, but if we can't produce a sellout of at least the lower level then I don't blame them for not coming back.

    Maybe Pearl Jam isn't the great American rock 'n roll band you all claim it is. It is not a problem with the south or midwest, it is up to the band and its music to draw in the fans.

    Umm, There are like 2 months left to sell tickets before the show... and what does the South have to do with KC or StL?
  • That or maybe they should play an outstanding show in the South, rather than just showing up. i.e. Little Rock in 2003. I was very disappointed with that show.

    Its not only the south that gets shows like that, its like are you 100% dynamite at work every fucking day?
    {if (work != 0) {
    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}

    Domino effect...the less they play around here the less their concerts will sell when they eventually do play. But don't compare STL or KC to Dallas or Houston, which would sell very well.

    Honestly I would be shocked if they EVER played Little Rock again.. If they EVER play the South again we will be lucky to get a Memphis show (FedEx Forum desperately wants to host Large market entertainment) an Atlanta date (obviously), possibly Nashville, WPB, Tampa, Dallas, Houston, Austin, and maybe Raleigh.. no town smaller than that..
    I seriously doubt we will ever see a show in Birmingham, Little Rock, or Louisville again... I'd LOVE to be wrong though.. :D

    I agree with ya. The Dallas show in '03 was bad ass. Of course, I was 9th row the closest I've ever been :)

    Let's see, I work 260 days a year and get paid minimally. PJ works maybe 50 - 75 days a year and make hundreds of thousands..

    I think they can bring it for 2 hours a day

  • you wont sell out if people dont even know you're still around.

    plus they could swallow their pride and play smaller venues. but that wont happen.

    and yeah Knoxville was a pretty bad show too. they didnt seem to want to be there.

    Midwest and South get left out of the PJ touring system at about the same rate. Oh, and I live in the south and am traveling to the midwest for the show. That's what it has to do with the south.

    really pretty much everywhere but the coasts. could probably add the southwest and mountains to that list.

    Exactly this is the point.
    When all those people from NY or Boston brag about their shows selling out fast, they should think about the fact that these are areas with a population of millions of people.
    When the band plays less populated areas, they can still play smaller venues which will sell out for sure.

    The reality is that Pearl Jam isn't the popular band they used to be. So selling out even lower level seats in places like KC and St. Louis are going to take a little more time than a few days. I don't think PJ cares how fast they sell as long as they do sell and they have over a month to do so for the MO shows.

    If PJ wants to play shows that sell out within minutes then they need to open up for someone like Taylor Swift. :lol:

    exactly. playing both cities hurts too. Dallas then KC would have been much better.
    This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

    Or maybe it's bc all us PJ fans from the midwest don't have a problem with ROAD TRIPS & helping you fill up your arenas on the west coast & east coast, while the fans on the coast don't like to wander too far from home? Plus the fans from outside the USA can probably get to NYC, Philly & Boston a lot easier than KC or StL. I don't know - just another possible theory.
    Whatever the reason, don't trash your fellow PJ fans from the midwest or the south. We're doing OUR part by supporting the guys and will welcome fans from around the world to join us for the party!
    Wrigley Field (Chicago) 7/19/13, Pacific Coliseum (Vancouver) 9/25/11, ScottTrade Center (St. Louis) 5/4/10, Sprint Center (KC) 5/3/10, Wachovia Spectrum Arena (Philadelphia) - 10/31/09, Key Arena (Seattle) - 9/22/09, Key Arena (Seattle) - 9/21/09, United Center (Chicago) - 8/24/09, United Center (Chicago) - 8/23/09, Colonial Center (Columbia, SC) - 6/16/08, The Vic Theatre (Chicago) - 8/02/07, Pepsi Center (Denver) - 7/02/06

    Actually come to think of it, I just might be a puddle full of detriment.

    By that theory, since Dallas is a larger city than San Diego, it would sell out faster than SD. This is simply not true. You have to factor in other issues such as, I don't know....music taste?

    P.S. Texas has 3 of the top 10 most populated cities. So much for that theory! ;) :P
