Any organisation that excludes women from it's meeting is dubious.

See, I'm not the only one with an unholy fear of Boy Scouts.

    Pondering????

Freemasonry is quite complex to research and understand. The brotherhood itself is not the complex bit, but there is so much incorrect info and urban myths all over the place that it makes it difficult to sift through stuff. There is a huge myth surrouding the Freemasons, created by us 'non masons' but also, I think, perpetuated by the freemasons themselves over the centuries.

I was under the impression they are a very powerful group that can pretty much get high up in ranks and earn heaps.

The power lies in their 'brotherhood' bond and loyalty and therefore connections. Which, of course, can take them anywhere.

    Sounds like a weird cult.

Not a cult really..... a 'tight' grown up boys' frat club (ie boys, meeting places, rituals, etc) based on strong morals and ethics. Supposedly.

Supposed to be kind and caring is total rubbish, though they do care about their 'community'. They are people like you and me (well... like me if I was male!). Being a freemason doesn't mean you can't be a downright bastard. They are not saints!

Your guy at work may have had an advantage over others in getting to his position through freemason connections but his attitude has nothing to do with freemasonry. He's just a mean bully. Freemason or not.

Had to wait until I got home from work to check out the link. This 'documentary' is really conspiracy theory type stuff (like National Treasure which sponsors it!), Da Vinci code type! Intriguing? Certainly. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find valid and truthful info. Keeping the brotherhood a 'secret' one, I guess.

Mind your p's and q's , keep your head down and do what they're paying you.
And yeah , not taking his shit is my good in my opinion. Could get you fired but good none the less.

    This is my advice exactly.

Do what you're told, but don't take shit from him. Respect yourself enough to stand up for yourself. No matter ho much money or how much of an egotistical power-trip this guy may be on, it doesn't make him better than anybody or put him in a position to condescend people.

Fortunately for him, he's in the right business. Corporations are gold-mines for double-crossing heartless fucks who will do whatever it takes to increase their salary.

I hope that once my degree is finsihed I can wave goodbye to this corporate work-life and maybe enter into one that isn't SO "fake".
