Well over 1/2 the tv sets in Canada will be tuned into this, the bars might do better tonight than New Years Eve.
If we lose, we'll curse and blame everybody including the Zamboni driver and critique this team and wonder what went wrong for about a week, then we'll sober up. Quite honestly if I thought we had no chance, then I would have rather lost to Germany than the States and Russia in the same year, that would really suck.

Here in the states...

They didnt even broadcast last Sunday's game on national television....

Quite a difference.....

That would cause a riot here.

I was driving to work the other and took a route I never take, more rural and farm land, a farmer had an outdoor rink in front of his barn complete with boards all away around. I don't think most countries realize how serious this sport means to us.

I think after that beat down on Russia we're ready for anybody...classic canuck hockey, hit your your opponents often and hard, score goals with skill and timely goaltending.

This was a great win, the guys appear to be coming together. I doubted Babcock after the USA game but it appears the guys are executing the game plan and now it's working. The semi finals will be tough, but if we win gold this way it will be that much sweeter.

This was also a great day 4 Canada 4 medals today and we're now tied at 7 gold...way to go athlete's.

I agree, big difference, the game tonight damn near brought the country to halt. I'm not to far from the truth when I say if we win double gold in hockey and nothing else we would consider the Olympics a success.

I was listening to some replays on the radio at work....

From what I gather, you guys had the Russians skating in circles....Also heard the Russians were screaming, yelling, and fighting amongst themselves....

Really? Lol, go back and look at the barage of postings after the States beat us, there's your karma

On the serious side of things, I didn't expect Canada to play so well and Russia to play so poorly last night.
