I can't get enough of the swap shop calls.

I didn't listen too much yesterday, but did I hear Eric the Midget say he is bringing back his Idol show?

The show has been so up and down lately. The Jay Leno and Oprah rants in the past week has made me turn off the show. It's getting unlistenable. Then that Bob Schimmel train wreck a couple weeks back made my ears bleed. I hate when Bob is on, BORING!!! But then they can hit major runs with stuff like the swap shop calls and the Benji girlfriend stuff and as gross as it was, the M&M contest.

Over the last three days I have gotten in the car and the scroll says "Howard on Idol?". It's enough with him going over every news outlet that mentions his name.

The JD stuff gets old too. JD's ok, but we don't need a whole segment on him.

I do find the JD/Ashley Dupre thing funny at times. But when they act like JD could get a chick like her, who are they kidding? It's so funny listening to him mumble over his words.

The busting on Ronnie this morning was great.

Few comments on the show over the past weeks or so:

    - Really starting to get sick of the Leno, Oprah, Ellen, Idol shit.
NOTE: Howard Stern will NEVER be on American Idol.

    - The show needs to start featuring some more wack pack/ comedy oriented stuff. Howard just hasn't been that funny on his own. Granted, he has his moments, but I listen to the show for a daily fill of comedy, and the past week or two has not been doing it for me.

    - Get someone in the Jackie/Artie chair for another voice in the studio.

    - On a positive note, I have been enjoying the swap shop calls, and I do enjoy hearing Benji on the show.

    Finally, the most important:

-Stop hiding information on Artie and address the issue. Hiding info. is something Howard would rip any other show apart for; He's acting like Artie never existed.
I'm gone ..Long gone..This time I'm letting go of it all...So long...Cause this time I'm gone

I think Jim Cameron was going to do the show this Wednesday, 2/17 but I think Stern is on vacation this week. Cameron is on the View and everytime a guest does the Stern show, they usually do the View right after. Sucks! That would have been a fantastic 1--hour interview.

I like when he rips on Leno and Oprah but he doesn't have to go on for an hour about it every time.

I seem to be in the minority but I am done with the swap shop/tradio calls. It's old now. They need to find someone else to call.

I actually like the show the way it is now without someone in the Jackie chair. There have been so many times where the show just would have been dragged down if Artie was there with him chiming in to tell one of his dirtbag stories/kiss Howard's ass/make the most obvious joke possible (because those were his only functions.) It's too late in the game for someone to come along and fit in with the show. The person will always be a step behind because they will be honored to be there and not want to step on anyone's toes. The chemistry on the show now is how it should be.

    I agree with this poster^^^^^.

I missed Artie at first but don't really care if he ever comes back. I would like to see some more comedians during the news though. I miss that aspect of the show

Comedians with the news are good...only if they can keep up i.e. Fitzsimmons. I remember hearing Levy on it and he was a trainwreck (which in itself was entertaining to a point). The news can be the best part of the show if Howard isn't in a rush to get out of there and isn't constantly saying, "Anything else, Robin?"

LOL. I wonder what gets said more, "Anything else, Robin?" or Robin saying "I was gonna say." She says that 12 times a week it seems.

Any chance of PJ ever going on Stern?

I remember him saying they were pitched Stone during the Vote For Change tour. Apparently he was only interested in Ed (who wasn't doing it), so they declined.

Robin also has been saying, "You make a point." a lot lately. She used to really annoy me but she has grown on me over the last few years. I think she is a lot more comfortable with herself and lets things go more easily now.

Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.
