I'll do it in Dublin (I'm number 1
), maybe Belfast, but certainly not any other show as it gets very tense around those parts! Had a great time in Berlin this year chillin outside the queue's chatting to people, got a great view when we got in, couldn't ask for anything else really!

I hope it gets pretty warm in Berlin this year.
Another excuse to go for a dip in the fountain outside the 10c area!115 bucks for half a haircut by a novice? I want my money back!0 -
It was more of a drunken slip while wading in the fountain than an actual intentional dip, but yes.Brisk. wrote:Hinn wrote:I hope it gets pretty warm in Berlin this year.

Again, it seems that you're missing the point that there's a list as well & your number has to match what's on the list. The only reason it caused arguments in London was that the venue decided to open 6 doors at once, so all the ususal organisation (that usually works pretty well and fairly when people respect it) went out the window.why go home wrote:wolfamongwolves wrote:why go home wrote:I didn't see the point in the whole number factor last year as security aren't going to be swayed that easy and what stops someone writing any old number on their hand!
It's self-regulation, nothing to do with security. & usually it works pretty well. When you show up at the queue, put your name next on the list (usually started & maintained by the first person in the queue), write you number on your hand, and that leaves you free to make sure you keep your place in the queue if you need to go for a piss or some food. You could just write any old number on your hand, but it's not going to match with the list, now, is it? Plus, it'd make you a bit of a git if you did.
It didn't work in London, in fact it only caused arguments!! personally i wouldn't write it on myself, however i dare say some fans would, besides if i was i a cue and 20 people behind had numbers on there hands and demanded to get through because of this i'd tell them to get stuffed93: Slane
96: Cork, Dublin
00: Dublin
06: London, Dublin
07: London, Copenhagen, Nijmegen
09: Manchester, London
10: Dublin, Belfast, London & Berlin
11: San José
12: Isle of Wight, Copenhagen, Ed in Manchester & London x20 -

6 doors at once ... sounds like Manchester. Didn't realise London had been the same (didn't queue)
Manchester is the only time I have gotten up early to go queue ... like Jenny I don't like being around all the stress that goes on and that queue definitely put a downer on the whole day for me  needless to say I'll be limiting the queueing on the next tour :PSo are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?0
