i guess it was because of that the queue was in the special area with bars and stuff, that doesn't work
if it was like rotterdam with crush-barrieres it wouldnt be a problem.

I've been to a lot of shows where the Numbering was attempted. Not oonly PJ. I've heard rumors of it working but haven't seen it work in person a single time. Plus, once you're inside it really only makes a difference for the few people who make it to the very front. For the rest is just an awful lot of immensely annoying pushing and shoving for hours until it all settles down a bit after the first few PJ songs. Fortunatly i'm okay with with ending up anywhere whithin the first few rows which is pretty much a given...

Well its important for me because if i'm front row then i cant see shit unless i'm 10 miles away at the back with a clear view but i'll be 10 miles away so i wont actually see much either too.

Oh, I wasn't debating anyone elses need to get to the very front. I'm very much aware that there's a lot of people to whom this is pretty important. I was just feeling lucky that I'm not one of them and therefore don't have to show up at the venue in the middle of the night. and put up wiht standing in line the whole day. Plus, we were REALLY lucky the last few times, cause that was not what German summers are usually like.

yeah i dont know why i quoted you really, i just wanted to say something about the numbering system haha. Well get to a show where Sandra i.e Pegasus and it will be done 100%!
Ah. Ok. Well, we'll see. I like to be impressed. But honestly, last time I didn't even realize there was a (attempted) numbering system until well into the show. But then again, I didn't rally try to get to the very front either. But if by some miracle I end up in the front row, you can gladly have my spot.

well if you were well into the show then you wouldn't have seen all the people getting organised around 4pm or whenever it was for the 10c area??
thanks for the offer but i luckily managed to make front row eddie last time

Not really. At that time I was enjoying the sun somewhere in the park area... But as I wanted no part of all the shoving, pushing an bitching, I just added my small self to the back of the line and waited. (While bitching about all the people shoving and bitching, of course. ) So I didn't really interfere with the system either.
As for the front row spot, I dont't really think I'm gonna make it there, anyway. I managed to do it twice, and it was wayyyyyy to much trouble to go through, compared to taking it slower and ending up in 4th or 5th row.
Being around the queuing people stresses me out I'll do it in Dublin (I'm number 1 ), maybe Belfast, but certainly not any other show as it gets very tense around those parts! Had a great time in Berlin this year chillin outside the queue's chatting to people, got a great view when we got in, couldn't ask for anything else really!

I didn't see the point in the whole number factor last year as security aren't going to be swayed that easy and what stops someone writing any old number on their hand!
It's self-regulation, nothing to do with security. & usually it works pretty well. When you show up at the queue, put your name next on the list (usually started & maintained by the first person in the queue), write you number on your hand, and that leaves you free to make sure you keep your place in the queue if you need to go for a piss or some food. You could just write any old number on your hand, but it's not going to match with the list, now, is it? Plus, it'd make you a bit of a git if you did.
It didn't work in London, in fact it only caused arguments!! personally i wouldn't write it on myself, however i dare say some fans would, besides if i was i a cue and 20 people behind had numbers on there hands and demanded to get through because of this i'd tell them to get stuffed
Again, it seems that you're missing the point that there's a list as well & your number has to match what's on the list. The only reason it caused arguments in London was that the venue decided to open 6 doors at once, so all the ususal organisation (that usually works pretty well and fairly when people respect it) went out the window.

6 doors at once ... sounds like Manchester. Didn't realise London had been the same (didn't queue)
Manchester is the only time I have gotten up early to go queue ... like Jenny I don't like being around all the stress that goes on and that queue definitely put a downer on the whole day for me  needless to say I'll be limiting the queueing on the next tour :P
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
