Oh man - I HATE when the little tabs break off in the center of the tray! I'm O.K. with cardboard, but maybe we can go to a styrofoam clamshell type case like Big Macs used to come in!Osaka, Japan (2/21/95), San Diego (7/10/98), Las Vegas (10/22/00), San Diego (10/25/00), Las Vegas (6/6/03), Las Vegas (7/6/06), Los Angeles (7/9/06), VH1 Rock Honors (7/12/08), Ed Solo (7/8/11), Ed Solo (11/1/12), Los Angeles (11/23/13)0 -

IDK, plastic cases are a pain in the butt too, but I THINK that plastic cases keep CDs in better condition than the cardboard sleeves. Well, at least my cds.0

demetrios wrote:I kinda wished they went back to CD/Jewel Cases, then cardboard. Cause cardboard does tend to scratch up your cds. Yes, cardboard is cheaper, enviromently friendly etc.. but the safest way to store you cd's is jewel casing.
its actually more expensive to have digipack cds made in most cases. Unless it is simply a non folding sleeve with no book or tray. I found this out earlier this year when my band had our first EP duplicated."Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."

it doesn't matter when it's a sleeve live yield or binaural, but the vitalogy, no code, and backspacer artwork, nice as it all is, is awful for getting the cd in and out of the case without having it be scratched to hell in no time. i hate these flimsy cardboard cases that is like a glorified container for the startup disc you get with your computer.0 -
My VS CD is a traditional plastic CD holder ,
the only PJ CD i own in the non-cardboard caseholder. For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside

Exactly...i don't hate the cardboard sleeves, but you do have a good point, it's a pain in the butt too put the CD back into the sleeve esp. when your driving0 -
Either way doesn't bother me...BUT who's with me...when you open the AVOCADO album...go to grab the CD the Booklet goes 'FLYING' out!...happens all the time lol :roll:0

Their 1st DVD "Single Video Theory" didn't come in a cardboard case, unless you got the VHS0 -
Cardboard cases are much more stylistic. They give you more artistic freedom. The jewel cases are just cheap and generic.
Besides, who plays the actual CD anymore anyways? All of my cases past Yield are in mint condition. CD's get downloaded to my PC and burned for my car, or just played through iTunes.0 -
