Is # 17 on Live 105 in SF. This was surprising considering after I emailed Aaron Axelson to play Far Behind he said they wouldn't be playing Eddie's solo shit because it was too folky and not alt-rock. Live 105 had a 90's at Noon show featuring the best soundtrack songs from the 90's and I requested State of Love and Trust. They played Screaming Trees instead.

Hard Sun is actually gaining strength at Alternative radio:

According to All Access, it's up 15 spots to #31 and had an increase of 138 spins last week.

I was gonna post about Hard Sun as well Gavin. I've been hearing it non-stop on Live 105.

Good for Ed. If they hurry up and bust out another album by the end of 2008...maybe they can take advantage of the momentum they are building (WWS and Hard Sun).

I think Ed hit a home run with this one!

  • X92.9 in Calgary has played songs from the 2005 Calgary Boot. They played quite a bit of PJ when they launched but I think it died off a bit. Heard Indifference one morning.

my local station http://www.q104.ca sucks big time. they play pearl jam very very rarly but when you go onto their website they have a pic of eddie on one of the banners. when pj came here they hardly even played them then. basically the only songs i get to hear are alive, jeremy and daughter. when there is a new album they play the first single then nothing eles. when binaural came out they played nais for about three weeks then never again. riot act we got i am mine for about the same and number 8 we got wws for a few weeks. they are strange though, twice they have played the entire boot from halifax and when there is a "world album premiere with catfish morgan" or whatever then they play that to. but most of the time...no love for pj from the q.

99x here in Atlanta plays a lot of PJ. The hits of course but they play Crazy Mary and even Glorified G. They play the newer stuff when it first comes out and I've heard Hard Sun a couple of times. Actually I hear a PJ song about every 2 hours or so during the day.

i just heard Nothingman on a local station sunday....very weird considering this station usually only plays Ten and Vs.
I live in Harrisburg, PA and it's the same here. I think the latest PJ they've played here in quite some time has been off Vitalogy. The have beat Ten into the ground. . . almost like they don't know PJ has 7 other studio albums

They always seem to be fairly kind to Pearl Jam...maybe not as much as WMMR, but nevertheless.

They're gonna play forgotten 90s classics. I'm gonna request, State of Love and Trust, Last Exit, I Got Id, and WMA. If they don't play one of those I'll be super pissed.

So far just one PJ song, compared to 2 Weezer songs, 3 Nirvana, 2 Offspring songs! The PJ song was JEREMY! EVEN the BAND doesn't like that song anymore. Fucking ridiculous.

I thought they had better PJ knowledge than that!

Another slap to us Pearl Jam fans faces...and bad representation of the bands truly good work.

I have no problem with Jeremy...but there is so many other songs they should and could have played.

  • All I have in my area is classic rock, country and pop stations. I hate country music, and todays pop music is absolutely shitty, so much so that you couldnt pay me a million dollars to listen to "The Party" for a day to see if they play a PJ song. And the classic rock stations don't really play anything after 1990 anymore...so...never.

I guess Aaron Axelson played Far Behind, Guaranteed, and Hard Sun on Live 105's Soundcheck like 3 weeks ago. This was after I requested via email they play Far Behind on Soundcheck and he said the soundtrack screamed KFOG to him. When I found out they played those songs and now have Hard Sun at #17 on their playlist, I emailed him yesterday:

    "Aaron,

I emailed you around a month ago requesting that you
play a couple songs from Vedder's Into the Wild
Soundtrack on Soundcheck. You said that you thought
it was a good album, but more fitting on KFOG. I
heard from a buddy that you ended up playing Hard Sun,
Far Behind, and Guaranteed. Thanks! What changed
your mind? Keep up the good work.

    hey Gavin,

yeah, i spun it one night on soundcheck, spent a week with the soundtrack in my car and then summer ended and i felt it would be a PERFECT Fall record for live 105..... and now we're playing it over 25x a week!

    thanks Gavin
