uummm, yeah.....sooooo gross!!!!!! But on the UPSIDE - at least he did it into a cup - and not just straight onto the floor!!!! Imagine that for the people around him!!!!
What sort of stadium was it for Perth?? open oval arena or closed indoor stadium... Hoping for open roof at Melb but unlikely as storms are forecast...
MJ
Im really hoping they dont close the roof. A bit of rain never hurt anyone...... and none of the other venues have a roof. They better keep it open

so long as there isnt any heavy rain, they will keep the roof open at etihad stadium. i was there for green day a few years back and the roof was open and it rained during the second half of the set.
OMG!!! TRULY AWESOME SHOW!!!! This was fantastic,....the energy from the band was outstanding, they gave it their all, and the crowd responded - there were a couple of idiots behind us pushing and what not, but we were on the barricade, so at least had somthing to lean against.....Highlights for me def. include GARDEN, I AM MINE, GIVEN TO FLY, DO THE EVOLUTION............This was a fantastic night, and the boys should be proud, but so should Perth....Generally well behaved despite the beer and sun, and lots of people were looking out for others...the guy and his girlfriend behind us were really nice, and overally the whole thing WENT OFF!!!!!!! I so wish I was going to more shows!!!!!
Paul - that's so awesome about your stepson!!! I saw you lift him up, and I saw the look on his face- What a priceless moment!!!!! He will have that memory forever, and I'm sure it will set him off on a lifelong love of the band!!!! I saw you in the crowd and recognised you - wasn't sure if you recognised me, sorry we didn't get to meet at the Brissy -
BUt how AWESOME was the show!???????!!!!! I am still buzzing.......Unthought Known was fantastic, and I LOVED that they opened with Breakerfall....really set the mood for the whole night, and even with the lights on...they were still going strong, and I think Ed must have enjoyed being able to see the whole crowd rocking out with all the stadium lights on.....
Fantastic - THANK YOU SO MUCH PEARL JAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Sarah got a cool photo of u guys will email it when I get back from Adelaide..
was good to meet ya...
Forgot to say - I have a few good ones of you guys too - they are up on my FB page....along with 150 odd others of the night - a few good ones of the crowd behind you as well!

I rang Chugg today, they said it was likely the roof would be closed on Friday, but that it wasn't 100% definite..

Melbourne - 16/3/95, 5/3/98, 18/2/03, 20/2/03, 13/11/06, 16/11/06, 20/11/09, EV 24/3/11 EV 25/3/11, 24/1/14, ....
bring on Melbourne! Will be my 7th PJ gig, and it sounds like it is going to be one of the best!
Thanks for all of the tips... looks like having a 10C ticket will ensure a good spot. Thank fuck I am a tall chick with big guns... NO ONE is going to mess with me and make me give up my spot!
Anyone care to comment on what security are like? I am hoping they are not dickheads... I was kicked out of the first Melbourne concert in '95 and I still have nightmares about it.... bloody got kicked out just before Dave Grohl came on... still makes my blood boil after 14 years later!!! I still remember what the security guard said as he dragged me our by my ear... "Eddie doesn't really care about you guys, it's all an act, he would spit on you if he could, you are all a bunch of little dickheads" Can you belive that?!?!?!
Felt like I got some revenge when they fired the security the night after though
I cried whilst listening to Eddie's "NW" speech on Triple J...
Hi all, i am going to the Melbourne show on Friday, just want to clarify that you are allowed to take cameras in? I only have an SLR so i am going to but a cheapy compact digital today, if I am not allowed to take it in though I wont bother forking out the cash for it

Def. allowed - I have a really good Olympus, and had no problems....only had to open my bag as I was going in, and let them see in, not bothered about the camera at all......!!! Hide the lid to a drink bottle somewhere though, or you will end up holding an open bottle all night.....
yeah cameras are fine but NO detachable lens, not even cameras that DONT have detachable len's but look like they DO have detachable len's are allowed, as I found out in Manchester. Tho I think if you're out at the back of the stadium in the heavens, it doesn't matter what kind of camera you have...Nay mind, i digress. Aye cameras are allowed.
thanks for that, is your Olympus an SLR or compact camera?
Thanks for the tip on the bottle
It's a compact, but it's not one of the newer slim ones, it's a good one with a 10x zoom, and one of the older fairly chunky models...looks like a miniature SLR.....it was in it's case and the woman didn't even want to look at it at all.
No probs - we had ours stashed in our bras, but they only cracked the bottle lid as they stamped our tix, so we piffed the tops as we were walking in......then we get to the field and they took the tops off.....so we piffed ours too early!!! Totally spewin'!!!! But hey, if it helps someone else out - just don't piff the top BEFORE you get inside and in your spot!!! hehe....

If i knew that I would of taken my camera instead of taking pics from 'pissy' little camera phone lol

Hi guys wonder if anyone can help me with a Perth poster.
It the only show i will miss on the tour....im happy to pay for it or trade it for one of the upcoming posters.
I was talking about their tour in '95, where you were frisked and fully checked over for recording equipment and cameras... nowadays you can take in digital cameras no problem
Still getting over what a great show this was. The Adelaide setlist was amazing fer sure and I must say that I wish I'd been able to travel at least to that one as well, but hey...
It's interesting the comments from some people dissappointed with Adelaide because it was missing "the hits". I understand that to a degree for the passing fan, but it really is pretty hard to complain about that particular setlist.
I have not spoken to a single person about the Perth show who was in any way dissappointed, freaks through to casual fans. An absolutely rockin show from the start with enough singalong material to have the whole stadium in chorus. Small Town, Daughter, Betterman and, of course, Throw Your Arms had the whole crowd going, whilst for me hearing the versions of Breakerfall, Garden, Love Reign (amazing), Whipping and Ledbetter was something else entirely.
Greatest concert I've ever seen, no question. The sound was awesome, the energy was special and the band sounded in top form, from Ed's voice through to Matt's drums. Great to see the crowd so into it too.
My wife has always liked PJ but never been obssessed - she's a Powderfinger girl she is. Anyway, she just said to me that seeing them live has given her a whole new respect for them and how they truly are an amazingly band. She keeps asking me to play her Just Breathe from bootlegs at the moment!
I also heard that PJ got fined for going 10 minutes over at the venue. Thanks for copping that one PJ - if you want any help paying the bill I'll chip in a few bucks - Yellow Ledbetter was so worth it.
