Def. allowed - I have a really good Olympus, and had no problems....only had to open my bag as I was going in, and let them see in, not bothered about the camera at all......!!! Hide the lid to a drink bottle somewhere though, or you will end up holding an open bottle all night.....

thanks for that, is your Olympus an SLR or compact camera?

Thanks for the tip on the bottle :)
  • yeah cameras are fine but NO detachable lens, not even cameras that DONT have detachable len's but look like they DO have detachable len's are allowed, as I found out in Manchester. Tho I think if you're out at the back of the stadium in the heavens, it doesn't matter what kind of camera you have...Nay mind, i digress. Aye cameras are allowed.

It's a compact, but it's not one of the newer slim ones, it's a good one with a 10x zoom, and one of the older fairly chunky models...looks like a miniature SLR.....it was in it's case and the woman didn't even want to look at it at all.

No probs - we had ours stashed in our bras, but they only cracked the bottle lid as they stamped our tix, so we piffed the tops as we were walking in......then we get to the field and they took the tops off.....so we piffed ours too early!!! Totally spewin'!!!! But hey, if it helps someone else out - just don't piff the top BEFORE you get inside and in your spot!!! hehe....

Still getting over what a great show this was. The Adelaide setlist was amazing fer sure and I must say that I wish I'd been able to travel at least to that one as well, but hey...

It's interesting the comments from some people dissappointed with Adelaide because it was missing "the hits". I understand that to a degree for the passing fan, but it really is pretty hard to complain about that particular setlist.

I have not spoken to a single person about the Perth show who was in any way dissappointed, freaks through to casual fans. An absolutely rockin show from the start with enough singalong material to have the whole stadium in chorus. Small Town, Daughter, Betterman and, of course, Throw Your Arms had the whole crowd going, whilst for me hearing the versions of Breakerfall, Garden, Love Reign (amazing), Whipping and Ledbetter was something else entirely.

Greatest concert I've ever seen, no question. The sound was awesome, the energy was special and the band sounded in top form, from Ed's voice through to Matt's drums. Great to see the crowd so into it too.

My wife has always liked PJ but never been obssessed - she's a Powderfinger girl she is. Anyway, she just said to me that seeing them live has given her a whole new respect for them and how they truly are an amazingly band. She keeps asking me to play her Just Breathe from bootlegs at the moment!

I also heard that PJ got fined for going 10 minutes over at the venue. Thanks for copping that one PJ - if you want any help paying the bill I'll chip in a few bucks - Yellow Ledbetter was so worth it.

    Till next time...
