TC tix or not you could get as close as you liked if entering at gates open time. The trick is holding that position for 3 + hours. There was no special section for TC members if that's what you mean. They just get in 15 minutes before the rest at gates open time.
There was a separate line to get in for 10c members though

It pays to be in the 10C, as they dominate the front. Sure, other people can try and get close but I don't know too many 10 clubbers that will sacrafice their spot. I know I didnt leave to go to the loo ...

I know I didn't leave, and I didn't lose my spot, even with others trying their best to push towards the front.....security were pretty good about trying to make sure people didn't shove....

The band obviously really values the 10C because they thanked the people at the front especially ... and with the set up , it is designed to benefit the clubbers, with us getting in first. They know the true fans and reward them justly. I too, would not let anyone past. Im a tall mother fucker, but there is no way I am feeling sorry for someone and letting them in front cos I feel sorry for them . . . I don't care how many times I've seen them.
Bring on Tuesday night .... I'd love to hear RVM, Release, and if they play Black, lets hope the Adelaide fans react like they did at the Adelaide 1 concert last time, listen to the boot to see what I mean.
Truly the best band in the world.[/quote]
I totally agree, best band in the world and i'm hangin for tomorrow night.
The concert in Adelaide on the 21-11-06 was fucking amazing and i get shivers everytime i listen to the bootleg.
To anyone going to Adelaide show....don't forget the after party at Live on Light Square (63 Light Square, Adelaide). About 10 min walk from the stadium. Free entry, drinks available at bar and we can connect our ipods to play whatever music we want.
Look forward to catching up with you all after the show for a drink or ten!!!
Well, cameras and recording equipment were not allowed at all... I lied to the security guy patting me down and told them it was wallet shoved down the back of my jeans, lol. My friend had her recordable walkman down the leg of her jeans too. Hence, getting drenched with water whenever I dared lift my little point and shoot camera up.
LMAO, I still can't believe they went there! I think the only people at that show were Sydney-siders who drove down! Didn't you go to the Sydney shows in '95? I got as far as on the phone to Qantas to fly to Melbourne, but my friend chickened out on me.
Enjoy the shows... you guys are in for a treat... they're on FIRE!!!
no only canberra in 95 - i actually lived there - big acts always came to town. they just stoped after they played a show and realised what it was like - my only big regret about canberra was not buying a poster, and not grabing a 10c membership after that
I thought only professional cameras and recording gear were banned.

I took my 7megapixel panasonic lumix in. The rules only mention professional cameras which means most standard digitals should be OK. Having said that, I was not even patted down on entry.
Best concert experience ever !! PJ are without a doubt the best band in the world.
I had eddie run right past us at the front barrier and touch my hand.
17 years of loving this band and i couldn't of asked for anything more.. they gave us it all.
I'm still on a high.
The Perth episode is up - look for Marcus at 2:26 holding his sign before we went in!!!
They have some great footage - maybe an aussie tour dvd???
Hey I was the guy standing beside you who you found the Jeff pick under . So many people were scavenging trying to find that sucker. I knew it had to be under me somewhere but wanted to watch the show instead of trying to find it. Lucky I grabbed the mike one the security guard handed out anyway so all is good. That beach ball provided some much needed entertainment while waiting for Liam Finn to get out.
Show was amazing as expected. I think we lined up about 3pm or so, was definitely first 50ish at that time. Everyone was cool chatting while waiting in the line. Got 2nd row directly in front of Mike. Everyone waiting was very cool also a couple people took toilet breaks but we held their seats. One chick even took a toilet break sometime during the show and her position on the front barrier managed to get held. I really have no idea how the crowd was behind me but the front couple of meters where I was was all very good. No pushing no shoving everyone was just enjoying it. They gave out special wrist bands to the first 20 people who got in but I never saw them actually gain anything from having them. Maybe just a mark to show you were there early?
It's also been cool bumping into people at the hotel, airport, etc. Saw the guy I was standing beside in the mosh pit at the Adelaide airport today We were singing together it was truly awesome. Overall a great bunch of people to be around.
Highlights for the show for me were Garden, Unthought Known, Given to Fly. But really every song was awesome. Probably the biggest highlight was how fucking amazing Liam Finn was. Blown away by his looping. Can't wait to hear him again. 1 down, 4 to go!
that was my 2nd show and it was as awesome as the first one, we were two or three back straight in front of Mike, sensational all round, cant stop reliving the show, thanks for the vids on youtube, we were about 1.5 meters to the left so its just reliving the moment. so cool!!!!!!
OMG!!! TRULY AWESOME SHOW!!!! This was fantastic,....the energy from the band was outstanding, they gave it their all, and the crowd responded - there were a couple of idiots behind us pushing and what not, but we were on the barricade, so at least had somthing to lean against.....Highlights for me def. include GARDEN, I AM MINE, GIVEN TO FLY, DO THE EVOLUTION............This was a fantastic night, and the boys should be proud, but so should Perth....Generally well behaved despite the beer and sun, and lots of people were looking out for others...the guy and his girlfriend behind us were really nice, and overally the whole thing WENT OFF!!!!!!! I so wish I was going to more shows!!!!!
Paul - that's so awesome about your stepson!!! I saw you lift him up, and I saw the look on his face- What a priceless moment!!!!! He will have that memory forever, and I'm sure it will set him off on a lifelong love of the band!!!! I saw you in the crowd and recognised you - wasn't sure if you recognised me, sorry we didn't get to meet at the Brissy -
BUt how AWESOME was the show!???????!!!!! I am still buzzing.......Unthought Known was fantastic, and I LOVED that they opened with Breakerfall....really set the mood for the whole night, and even with the lights on...they were still going strong, and I think Ed must have enjoyed being able to see the whole crowd rocking out with all the stadium lights on.....
Fantastic - THANK YOU SO MUCH PEARL JAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Sarah got a cool photo of u guys will email it when I get back from Adelaide..
was good to meet ya...

I was talking about their tour in '95, where you were frisked and fully checked over for recording equipment and cameras... nowadays you can take in digital cameras no problem

Yeah who was the guy at the front that sat the cup of wee on the other side of the side barrier on the step lucky that wasnt the one that Ed stood on when he ran down the barrier...
saw another cup of wee on the way out.... :(
Cheers to all of you who were at this show. I have a slight obsession with Breakerfall and having been dreaming of it as an opener...Can't wait for a boot to hear the rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaagh! Looking for the next time PJ plays in Australia- you guys seem to know how to have a good time!
THANK YOU! LOVED reading your posts about the show!
got a car...got some gas...oh let's get out of here-get out of here fast...
I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...
I want to go but I want to go with you.

I've had enough, said enough, felt enough. I'm fine, still in it.
Needless to say, I LOVED IT!!! someone before me already said, they just keep getting better! i was front row in the middle and it was amazing! i got Ed's pic, took some cool photos...anyway, other people have said it all before. what i have to had is that i think the 10C community is amazing. my sister and i had 10C tix and a friend of ours had general one, so we lined up together knowing that once we got in we were going to be separeted and meet up again at the end. but we met some great guys in the line and stared chatting and stuff and they had 2 spare 10C tix they were trying to sell and since they couldn't they ended up giving one to my friend with the wristband! she was on top of the world!!! so if you're out there reading this you know who you are, THANKS WITH ALL MY HEART! i, and my sis and my friend, will never forget it.

they grabbed my nuts in 98.
Yikes! I didn't bother with the camera or recording equipment in '98. Now that I think of it... it's funny that it doesn't matter the gender of the security guard... they'll frisk you whether you're male or female in Australia... over here, you get moved to a separate line so females only get frisked by female security etc.
Man, I wish I was down there right now... outside shows, in the warmth... nice!

What sort of stadium was it for Perth?? open oval arena or closed indoor stadium... Hoping for open roof at Melb but unlikely as storms are forecast...

Good to meet you guys too - although I will admit - I was on such a high (all day!!! hehe), that on the train home my friend and I were trying to remember people's names - couldn't even recall usernames, let alone REAL ones!!!! I had an awesome time though, as much in the queue as the show itself!!! Enjoy Adelaide!!!

How disgusting was that?! And he did it with no shame or anything - just sort of leaned through the crowd and plonked the cup down on the step!!!! SO gross!!!! And It WAS the one Ed stood on - knocked it right over - hopefully he had DOcs on and not Converse.. imagine that wee soaking into a good pair of Chucks!!!???!!
