Know the feeling, i'm working at 6pm tonight... till teh early hours, then at 8 tomorrow morn.. i need a holiday.
Hey Red,
Flights to Sydney right now are only $507 return (including taxes).. and I have a spare ticket for the show that's up for grabs..... You know you waaannaaaaaa.......
I haven't been listening, but this indicates they must've beaten:
Midnight Oil
Aerosmith
System of a Down
Rage Against the Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers (assuming they beat Blindspott, or vice versa)
They are up against the winner of FF and Pink Floyd in the final! How can they lose?

They up against Pink Floyd after 4pm so everyone better vote for them
I told the old man I was certain Metallica or U2 would win it, but this is great news.Winning the Rock Wars should convince them they have to come...has the overall winner been decided yet? I thought after they only got 66% of the vote against Aerosmith theyd struggle.
Its been 8 years, but I still believe...PJ in NZ 06!

They had a few close shaves. They only just bet System of a Down. Im not sure about the Chili Peppers but that must have been to the wire.

Can I suggest there'd be no other country in the world where Pearl Jam would win such a contest? Can I suggest on that basis we DESERVE A BLOODY TOUR? Roar.

Am I serious about flights being that cheap or about me having a spare ticket...??
Well, it's a yes to both from me anyway....
Just think about that hot hot sun... wicked amounts of shopping... sand in your togs... copious amounts of cheap alcohol... being away from the hell that is work for a few days... being part of an awesome show by an awesome band (for your first and possibly last time)... you just have to put up with being surrounded by aussies for a couple of days...
PM me if I've managed to lure you over to the dark side...
Yeah, closest was 51% against RATM (Rage), but the point is if NZ rockers want PJ above all others then there must be a strong groundswell of support for their tour.

Seriously, without being overly negative, the tour is not going to happen...they cancelled accomodation - we had thousands of signatures last time, it didnt work, dont get your hopes up guys....

My Pearl Jam vinyl arrived at last yesterday, it's in great condition. I was a little worried with people saying they arrived with bent corners etc. Maybe I'm not as fussy as some (I thought I was!) but mine seems good. The only problem is the booklet is so big and fat I don't want to keep it in the sleeve because it is too bulgy... what to do?
Can a kiwi please give me the latest update?? Auckland??? On the pearl jam tour book is says NZ but still no word. what up with the new arena??
well it's not looking good. yes we were on the tour brochure. but recently we hear that vector arena was sufferening yet more delays. was supposed to be done by late august. well PJ managment must have got wind of it and decided to cancel thier accomodation.
i recieved my PJ vinyl also, with slightly bent corners (2)... but no worries. am keeping the bookletr with it, as i believe it belongs as a complete package. and i'm going to love it forever.
BDO line ups are the pits. Should've known nothing would top Metallica playing at the BDO and gone to that one. But I didn't. Moral of the story is, stuffed titty.

I'm in a mixed position on this possible Auckland show. On the first hand, i really want them to come, cause I want to see them so bad, but on the other hand, I live in Wellington and I'm already having to pay to travel up to and stay in Auckland for the U2 shows in November, so I really can't afford another one. However, if it does happen there is no way I could miss it, so I would go even though I don't have enough money for it. So I'm either going to be poor and happy, or in a sound financial situation and gutted. Either way it's both good and crap. I guess I'll let fate decide.

I'd like to see how bent your corners are. Maybe mine are bent too. One of them was almost bent, but nothing bad. Pretty good considering how far it came and how little care it would have gotten I keep mine with the sleeve, but not inside the sleeve. It's far too fat!
