nope it would be like Pat Boone doing Metallica..

    Oh wait.... Nevermind...

Somehow I think Pat Boone's metal album wins hands down over Coldplay doing The Who.

    But I'll try to keep an open mind. . . . . . . Or not!

What I don't understand is why the only place they've been announced as part of the line-up is on the Verizon website. Hopefully it's a typo.

They have Incubus up on the Wiki, but not Coldplay.

While I dig Incubus I think them playing Who songs is just as strange as Coldplay....

    I think I'm going to have to approach this show with a very . . . open . . . mind.

Thanks for the link, as I didn't watch the other VH1 self-congratulatory presentations. Judging from the past shows, I guess we're lucky to get PJ and Flaming Lips at all.

Should be pretty surreal, although I wouldn't expect any less from LA LA land or VH1.

Nickelback had better not be there; even as audience members.

I fucking hate that band!! If they show up, they should be arrested, beat, and shoe'd in the balls for their horrible crimes against rock music.

That hair farmer Chad Kroger should have his vocal chords stomped on with a pair of golf spikes and the rest of the band should be shot from a rocket headed for the sun.

Nickelback's music is like the worlds worst hangover packaged into a single song or album.

VHI should do a "VH1 Tortures Nickelback" special where members of Pearl Jam, The Who, Foo Fighters, and Flaming Lips get to beat the living shit out of the members of Nickelback on national television.

    Okay...enough about Nickelback...Fuck Nickelback

Sorry for the late post of this comment. I was lucky enough to get past the Ticketmaster-nazi's and actually got the chance to purchase two tickets to see PJ in the Who TV show. That's if I wanted to part with $600, including $50 to Ticketmaster. Or wait a week and watch it on TV. I hesitated and let someone else have the tickets. Seems a little high and I know PJ has nothing to do with setting prices for show's that aren't theirs, but come on. $600. ARFKM?

The prices seem high but it's a charity event. Proceeds will benefit several charities and as charity events go those aren't really such high prices.
