Corporate American Flag

I recall the press conference to annonce the South American tour a few years ago. Pearl Jam stood in front of an American flag in which each of the 50 stars was replaced with a corporate logo. I need to find a photo of this to ascertain if the Targer corporate logo was included.
It is interesting that just a few years ago they were lambasting the corporate control of America by affixing that flag to the wall behind them and now they have a commercial with a BIG RED TARGET logo flashing behind them in full support of such control.
Seems hypocritical to me, sorry if others don't see it but it is fairly transparent if you have followed the history of the band.
Stop following with your eyes closed....

or get the corporation to give back to the community and help make the world better as well....
+1
God, Ed looks so cool in that photo...
And if you have followed the history of this band, you should also closely follow this Target deal and hear wht the band members themselves have said about it and understand the deal they made. How different it is from any other big box retail deal every done before by any other band.
And, you would think this was the first time PJ has ever been partnered with a large corporation. I am not sure what you thought Sony Music was. But this time around, they got to cut out a couple big box retailers. So, they are actually with less corporations now than they ever have been in the past.
I love the fact that the band is with a distributor that keeps its disembodied hands off the music!!!
Yeah, I miss the days when they stuck with the little guys, like Sony. I don't get how they could move from such a small, independent label to a giant megacorporation. Wait, isn't Sony a giant megacorporation? They make like half the electronics I own and release half my CD's... and isn't the new album being released on the band's own label and they're just letting Target carry it because nobody else was willing to let indie music stores sell it too? Shit, now I don't know what to think... I was so looking forward to a good corporate whore rant...

precisely.
this band is like our parents. they do things and we as kids dont know it at the time why or understand but when we get older, we understand that they did the right thing. this band finds ways to give and give and for that plus their work and art, they are absolutely amazing at the least
Touche... Kat is so on point.

If they sold music back in the 60's, 70's, and early 80's, then they've sold vinyl records before.
Whatever the question is, Jeff doesn't know.
