    What I truly don't get about so many of these posts is that Pearl Jam should be something that's good in your life. Yet it seems for so many people it's a cause of frustration and anger. Perhaps if they realized how unappealing they look, then they'd see themselves in a different light: :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( :x :x :x :x :x :x . See, that's how you appear to people? That's why people don't want to be your friends.

    As for me, I love the new album. I can understand people who might like it as much as me, but what I don't understand is comments about the quality of Ed's singing, comments such as "this album sucks" or "this album doesn't sound like Pearl Jam." Actually, it does sound like Pearl Jam because it IS Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam circa 2009.

    I've found most of these people just hate everything about everything. They hate the movie they just saw, they hate their favorite TV shows, they hate the meal they just ate, they hate their significant other.

    Some people are just miserable pricks.

    Is it just me, or is anyone else getting sick of the number of people on here who have absolutely no sense of humour, or any grasp of irony or sarcasm? It's like being surrounded by a bunch of children, who take everything literally. I've lost the will to post in half the ridiculous threads that have popped up.

    Since the forum became a 'paying members only' forum, it seems to be overpopulated with either miserable 'the band can't do anything right' types, or ridiculously sycophantic arse holes who jump down people's thorats if they say anything even mildly dissenting about the band. So yeah, I totally agree with the sentiments of the OP. People need to lighten up and try and enjoy the music.
