  • This was an amazing show and an amazing set list, could not have asked for a better set list. But i just didn't get why i wasn't feeling this show like others, as in feeling the music. Long Road could not have asked for a better opener..Man of the Hour my god what a surprise couldn't get enough of this song, Dissident has been one that I've just been waiting so long to hear live though its not everyone's favorite. In Hiding and Given to Fly are always amazing live, and Rearviewmirror was just great!!
Idk i probably just drank too much, wont happen next time that's for sure.

VV Other bands have an open filming policy. If I could tape a whole PJ show I would.

They were great for sure! The preparties sure broke all records!

I'm pretty sure they mentioned "Rock"ford and "Rock"ton in Champaign in 2003 as well. My guess is the only claim to fame for these two cities is that they have Rock in them. I work in Rockford and drive thru Rockton everyday...

Hey. Rockford is the hometown of Cheap Trick. What more could a town ask for? Oh, Toronto is the home of Rush. There you go, Toronto beats Rockford.

Someone help me out. PJ played on the same bill as Cheap Trick at least once. When/where? BTW, that would be a rockin' bill. CT should open for PJ. PJ should cover "The Ballad of TV Violence".

And here's a trivia question. There is a pretty strong (In a Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon kind of way) connection between Rush and PJ. What is it?

You get seats better than section 303 the next time PJ comes to Chicago if you know the answer.

MC played on Geddy Lee's solo album.

Neither band has been in my kitchen.
  • Being from the east coast, I have seen shows from North Carolina to Philly/New Jersey. I have always wanted to go somewhere away from the coast to see the band who wrote the soundtrack to my life. So, my wife and I took a long weekend to see PJ in Chicago . As usual , it was a great show! The energy from the band was there as it always is, but the crowd didn't seem into it. I base crowd energy on 2 things: 1) If I can't hear my self sing 2)If my wife and I aren't the only ones jumping up and down all night. For both cases I could hear myself singing and we were the only ones jumping up and down. So as far as crowd energy, it was pretty lame. We were in section 100, great seats! Everyone around us was more worried about recording the show than being at The Concert. The Philly shows are the best that I've ever been to and can't wait for the end of October.
Things were different then, all is different now.
  • great set list too..
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

Just got home. Combined with my 10Club seats being top row nose bleeds, my back was actually against the wall and the fact that PJ's catalogue is HUGE and these were the songs played I was actually disappointed. I was expecting more for Chicago.

    Oh well.

    What?!?!

    What is your 10c #?

I have a shitty # and I have always been on the floor at the UC.

I think someone may have pulled a fast one on ya'!

I am thinking the same thing. I know I would have not gotten good seats as I am only a member now for a year, HOWEVER- A couple sitting right next to me (sec 310) just bought their tix an hour b4 the show as they released a few extras. So yes I was disappointed too. Kinda felt gypped at first...Like "what's the reason for even being in the club ya know?"

That being said- This was my 1st PJ concert, ever. ((LONG TIME LOVER)) I've walked away with an amazing experience chock full of unforgettable memories and constant goose bumps ever since :)
((Just bought the bootleg of the 23rd)) got chills just listening to it again! ~Melissa aka Indianachick

gotta agree with all the vid taking. heck the woman i went with was shooting a ton of vids, although we were in the 300's night 1. fucking put down the cam and enjoy the friggen show. nobody cares about your vids. the sound on them suck. if you want to take a couple of pics, fine, take a few pics, but then put your friggen camera or cell phone away.

  • The boots of this show just remind me of how great the show was! The energy, the amazing setlist and the new songs! This may have been my favorite show of all time, and I've seen some great ones.
