Curious - are people hearing The Fixer on radio?

I don't listen to the radio as much as I used to, but I have been tuned in while in my car and have yet to hear The Fixer. I know I heard WWS on quite a bit during its first week and then it became less frequent. Not sure I am just missing it and it is actually getting some radio play or if it is light in the rotation. Curious what others are experiencing?

Yep - I've heard it a few times - 93.3 and 104.5 in Philly. I like when I catch a song on the radio - it's easier for me to tell if I like it or not when I hear it unexpectedly. I like it :)

I'm sure it's been played, but I've never heard them play it...

I always have the radio on in my office and I have heard it quite a few times on X92.9 here in Calgary.
  • I heard it 2 times in 1 hour on saturday here in Chicago. and once sunday on a 10 minute drive so I'd say yes in Chicago.

They're playin' a butt load of "The Fixer" here in Toronto.

It sounds REALLY GOOD on the radio too; especially considering the majority of Pearl Jam's radio play is comprised of songs from the TEN album w/ a cheap little dusting of "Betterman" and "Daughter".

Hopefully this song has some staying power unlike most of their recent singles.

I think "The Fixer" is a catchy enough tune to apeal to some of the more casual fans out there, or possibly people who have long forgotten about the band.

Although I don't really think of it as a "Fans" type song... It's okay... Because it's never a bad thing to have more Pearl Jam on the radio -especially when you got rotten snakes like Hinder and Nickelback sucking up all the airwaves-

It's high time we classed up the joint.

In Columbus Ohio I've heard it several times on CD101 (www.cd101.com) and The Rock 99.7, once. CD 101 is a privately owned company so they play the best music around here!!!
"I'll ride the wave,Where it takes me, I'll hold the pain, Release me"
"I'm not about to give thanks or appologize"
"Caught a bolt of lighting, cursed the day he let it go"
  • i dont know if they even have a rock station here anymore.
  • it has yet to see any rotation in Houston.

    the reason????

I have not heard it here in Pittsburgh. They play Pearl Jam often but not The Fixer.

I also must admit I don't listen to the radio much.

  • I rarely listen to FM radio, but I heard it once on 101.9 in NY, the only even halfway decent rock station in the NYC/LI area

I very rarely listen to the radio. So I haven't heard it. I have heard that new, God-awful Alice in Chains song, though.

I think it was number one on 99.9 KISW all last week here in Seattle

Also it was the 10th most requested song as on 107.7 The End as of last night
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."
-my dad after hearing Not for You for the first time on SNL .
  • There was this great build-up to a NEW Pearl Jam song! :o The DJ said he'd play it and so I waited.... and waited.... and he never did play it.

Just wondering what stations you heard it on? I believe we live in the same area. Is 107.1 playing it at all?

I don't listen to the radio much either, but I have heard it on XPN out of Philly of course.

I also heard it on the satellite radio station at work, nice surprise. :D

I rarely listen to radio, but I reviewed the 102.1 The Edge playlist here in Dallas, and The Fixer has not yet been played. Meanwhile, PJ still gets approximately 6 songs played per 24 hours on that station. I suppose it's not hard to blame Texas radio for rejecting new PJ material when they refuse to tour here!

I heard it twice on the drive home yesterday, about a 40 minute drive on Triple M and K Rock down here in Melb.

The two times i heard it, The Fixer was introduced with great enthusiasm =D

last Monday 102.1 the edge in Toronto played it every hour on the hour starting at 1pm which was awesome and they seem to have added it to the daily rotation as I've heard it every day since then at least 2-3x

  • I haven't heard it yet here in Milwaukee, but I also find myself not listening to the radio too much anymore.

I think The Fixer is getting more airplay in The UK Than they normally do. They are on the B list on Absolute Radio which used to be Virgin Radio http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/music/we_play/playlist/

and have been played once or twice in the evening on BBC Radio One in the evening.

I've also heard it on The Alternative Rock Station XFM too,
