There's a number of good and great songs on Yield, but...
VS = Best album by any rock band ever.
Seriously, just look at the track listing of Yield:
http://pearljam.com/music/releases/studio%20album/yield
And the track listing of VS
http://pearljam.com/music/releases/studio%20album/vs
While I can listen to both straight thru, only on VS am I not tempted to skip a song here and there.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

ohhh those were the good ole days! my favorite tour. my first extensive tour. Hell I went on tour that summer! i think i hit up about 15 shows that tour and loved every second of them!
I had the best tickets that tour...2nd row a few times....columbus and st louis were damn near center stage!
covered some ground...covered some miles...so many memories! never got me a yield sign though
Seems that needlessly it's getting harder
To find an approach and a way to live
Are we getting something out of this
all-encompassing trip?0 -

i'm still searching for that one & the '98 KC. that's a lot of coin to spend on a poster, though.
i think i paid $150 about 6 years ago....not sure if that's a good deal or not but they got me on pay day! This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0 -
DOES ANYONE HAVE A VIDEO OF Continental Airlines Arena 98 show?

98 was my favorite tour also! i went to 6 shows that summer!
Alpine Valley 1
Alpine Valley 2
Chicago
St. Louis- amazing show!
Kansas City
Indy... another great show!
great shows, fun road trips, great album, great seats, great posters (st.louis is my all time favorite), and great memories! I still remember when the band finished the Chicago show with baba and the place went ballistic!
1998 was also the year the world got to see the first trailer to Star Wars "episode 1" in November! so exciting!Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.0 -

The best PJ ever was (for me) was Lollpaloza '92 August 8 at Great Woods in Mansfield, MA. They came out and basically played all of Ten. I have never seen a show as great as that. That hooked me as a fan for life.
The second best was at the Great Western Forum in Los Angeles in July of 2006. That was an amazing, soulful show.
Just got tickets for three out of four nights at the Universal Amp. Can't wait!!0 -

Guitar tones (especailly Mike) were great.
Ed was really getting to be a better singer, but still had that scream/growl when he needed it.

yes, that is true but it is important to remember the past.

Wrong. Everyone I knew loved No Code. It's still the favorite of myself and most of my friends.
Even the band made fun of No Code for it's poor sales. Real PJ fans loved it, of course, but the general public disliked.96 - Toledo

now, now, no harm in being nostalgic about one of the best tours of the band's career,...guess you had to be a fan back in '98 to truly appreciate why the Yield tour meant so much to so many of us!

Agree, I am actually listening to the first PJ concert I ever went to in 2008 at the Target Center in Mpls. It was the hook that brought me into being a huge fan. All those yesterdays and EV messing up Betterman and the crowd singing as he never did mess up, priceless!!!CARPE DIEM!!
