    Arse!!!!!!!!! Bloody HMV. My link didn't work & now all the tickets are gone!!!!! Why does nothing work like its supposed to?

    If you got tickets then good for you, really. I would try & beg a spare from someone but I need 2 as my wife wants to come too, so theres not much point. Enjoy the show & remember, I'm not bitter in any way. ;)

    I didn't get the HMV pre-sale link so I rang HMV at 9 this moring and got this email back, it's no consolation now but thought I'd share :

    Thank you for your telephone call earlier this morning.
    The email concerning the pre-sale of tickets for the Pearl Jam concert was sent out at 5.30pm on Monday 20th July 2009. You should therefore have been in receipt of the email in time for the pre-sale this morning at 9am. If you did not receive the email, then the most likely explanation is that the email was blocked by a spam filter on your account, and unfortunately this is outside of the control of hmv. The ticket offer has proved to be extremely popular, and as a result the pre-sale offer sold out very quickly. If you were unable to get tickets, then please check the hmv tickets web site, and other ticketing sites, for information as to when the general sale of Pearl Jam tickets will commence.

    Sounds like a pretty convoluted system but if it's all we've got....

    Should the tickets only be available to those who were in the original lottery, or is it free to anyone? Seems like it's gonna be hard to work this thing out fairly.

    From what I gather the system draws the winners soon after the deadline, emails are then sent out to the lucky few.

    By the way, should I have received anything else apart from my order confirmation or is that all?

    Same happened to me. I put my credit card details in and it waited and waited and waited and then crashed. I went back into the shopping basket, they were still there, when I went through to process them it just said not available. Needless to say my HMV Backspacer order was cancelled. I am gutted, but still in the 10c lottery.

    Well done to everyone who was successful. Please message me if you have any spare and I will buy you lots of ales I promise on the night.

    I just emailed them to cancel my order, citing the bullshit that anyone could access the pre-sale.

    So so annoyed.

    Had the same problems with HMV. I got the link but it seems that they were selling them before the stated start time of 9am. When i called for an explanation at around 9.45 the lady who i spoke to said that all of the orders that were placed this morning would be cancelled due to a fault with the link and she also said that further link would be sent sometime this morning. I called again at 11.30 and the guy i spoke to this time said that he didn't know anything about orders being cancelled or a new link being sent out. i can only hold out for a 10 club lottery ticket. I'm trying to get some more info from O2 about when they will start selling tickets. It does state that they go on sale on the 23rd but it is listed as a priority gig so it should have gone on sale this morning.
