ARGH I just typed a whole reply and it disappeared :(

Ok I just talked to HMV on the phone about this - randomly got through to the same guy I talked to on Monday who had said then that a second link would be sent! He basically could not give me any info about this second allocation of tickets and instead sent me to call Keith Prowse who are the third party ticketing agency. Keith Prowse, comically, knew zilch about it either and said I would have to call HMV back to find out who they planned to send this new ticket link to!

Oh and the guy at HMV more or less said that HMV had not planned or handled this whole palava well at all - well we knew that already!

Does anyone else want to try calling them to see what they get told? A few of us called on Monday and were told different things - it would be really good if we can find out exactly who they plan to send this link to, i.e is to customers who tried to get through on Monday?

Their tel is 0845 603 8576 and you need to go to website querys and pick the option for general queries after that... :geek:

Thanks for getting in touch with them.

Gee, I hope I get an email...
"We get these pills to swallow... how they stick in your throat... Tastes like gold..."
  • I cancelled my order so i guess the link may not be forthcoming.
  • I was just thinking that about the email myself! Surely we can't all be this unlucky three times in a row? I mean, we're all good people right? < starts gibbering to self >

Hmm. I think madness has now set in after three days of staring at the forum and willing all the karma in the world to send tickets to us good people!
  • Anyone else noticed that that second allocation message has now disappeared from their HMV link (sent on Monday?)

    Mine has now gone!! Nooooooooooo!

Hey guys, I know this has already been discussed, but i'm still a bit confused as to which sites are selling the tickets via the general sale tomorrow morning. There is no mention on the HMV website or the ticketmaster website. The only place I can find that says they are selling them tomorrow is the SBE website. I'd be very grateful for any help, links etc.

I'm hoping for 3rd time lucky after failing in the 10C and HMV presales!

    Cheers! :)

Thanks very much! :) ...For reason I thought ticket web were selling them at over-the-top prices! Still can't understand why there is no mention on HMV... we know they're selling them!

  • Doesn't make sense does it? One minute they are showing a message on our original links saying that more tickets will be allocated, then that goes and then nothing on the site at all. Doesn't make the blindest bit of sense! And I don't know about anyone else but I def have not received a second link from them :-(

Nope. I still have a ticket in my basket from yesterday on the HMV site, so I may try that in the morning if I don't get a link, worth a shot I suppose.

my old link from the HMV email takes me to a page that says
    Not Available
We're sorry, but the tickets you want are currently SOLD OUT. Extra tickets may be made available but, as always, these will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis

is that what other people are getting ? previoulsyit went to a page saying something about 'item not found'.

no sign of a second email/link in my inbox as yet... i bet it's just a cruel hoax to stop us cancelling our pre-ordered CDs!
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?

Yeah it's strange. I haven't received a 2nd link from them either... and with no mention on the website, how do we know where to go in the morning?! ...After Tuesday's fiasco on HMV I think i'll avoid them anyway and try my luck on ticketweb.

You're not gullible and stupid dude, you are just hopeful, like the rest of us, and that's not a bad thing.

The industry is just a big corporate pain in the bum these days, worse than ever in fact. We're just bearing the brunt of it unfortunately.

I didn't cancel yet either, I was hopeful that the mythical second link would arrive as they promised me on Monday :-(

  • so let me just get this straight

All I have had from HMV is a THIRD welcome letter. Backspacer was cancelled on Tuesday so I won't be seeing anything. I even put my credit card details in before the site conked out. Makes me even more disappointed I didn't get them. Complete idiots.
    :D Rock on!!!! :D

Shit, tell me about it. I kept having random dreams about winning and not winning tickets and waking up in between. I can't wait for this uncertainty to be over.

I don't think it'lll show up on the HMV ticket page. Need a secret email link that comes with preordering the album from them.

But I thought there was a general sale via hmv today and that you didn't need to preorder?
